. . .

It figures everything is coming to a head as I spend the next 2 days making my way back. What can I say,I'm a cheapskate and found roundtrip tickets from BKK to Denver for $978 apiece. At least I get to walk around 5 airports and people watch.

If you haven't been following the action on the best political analysis site(see above),you're missing out on American history in the making. It's looking as though some of the intelligence agencies of our so called allies may have also been involved in the attempted coup of our duly elected president.

We are definitely living in interesting times. As I tell my children"Don't put your head in the sand, research what's happening and come to your own conclusions." One last word.I've been following this site for 3+ years and nothing posted has been proven false so there is insider knowledge from here.
Bronco, it's all starting to come to a head ... Obama's CIA, DOJ, NSA all have been implicated thus far and the plant in the Trump campaign has been outed. We know it goes all the way to the top because Obama was briefed on all of it. Whether or not Obama knew it was all fabricated -- all of it including the phony info that was repeated to start the phony investigation -- is yet to be determined.

Like you said, "interesting times" ... makes Watergate look like Romper Room.

Speaking of Romper Room, -it looks like your guy is headed for the most epic crash and burn in the history of civilization.

China taking over everything everywhere. And where that isn't happening Russia is, and so is Iran.

You said your guy would fix all this. Where's the action? Where's the result?

Can he do more than tweet?

Phony stats, fake headlines, straight out and out lies?

This real estate mogul / reality TV joker is #winning? Not convinced. Neither is anyone else.

Get ready for the riots on 2018, -they are coming soon, as he will have no choice but to make this a civil war.

And 2020? Forget it, -not even Thailand will be safe haven once the country falls apart and we get invaded.

Oh but wait, your guy is gonna make us great again. And I'm playing short stop for The Mets.

I've said so many times, Trump was not my candidate. However, I do support the good that he does for the country, and I will criticize when I think he has done something not so good. But I guess you just keep repeating it as part of your hateful hope for Trump failure.

What you have so vociferously predicted in your latest hollow statements (hollow because they are backed up with nothing) are the opposite of what is playing out in reality. As always, you're entitled to your opinion.

I'll chalk it up to a massive amount of frustration brought about by TDS.

Sentier Research, which tracks income on a monthly basis using US government census data, shows that the median household income of Americans has climbed 3% since President Trump took office. It's another sign of a strong economy. Median household income has been steadily increasing under Trump, rising from $59,471 in January 2017 to $61,483 last month. This also means that household income is now higher than it's been in at least 50 years after adjusting for inflation.

Sentier data show that median household income was the same when President Obama left office as when he arrived. No movement. Stagnant. Consider this: President Obama raised taxes, imposed massive new regulations and mandates, and routinely berated the private sector. The economy responded with the worst economic recovery in modern times. Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress have gone in the exact opposite direction, with sweeping tax cuts and significant deregulation. And since then we've seen growth, income, optimism all moving upward.

This is just another indication that the economy has notably strengthened under Trump.

The latest IBD/TIPP Economic Optimism Index is 53.6. This index has been in positive territory (anything over 50 is optimistic) since Trump took office. The Quality of Life Index, meanwhile, hit a 14-year high in May and the Financial Stress Index is at an all-time low.

Gallup's tracking poll shows that 67% now say it's a good time to find "a quality job in the U.S.," which is the highest since Gallup started asking this question 17 years ago. The best this measure ever got under Obama was a paltry 45%.

CNN's poll finds that 57% now say "things are going well in the U.S.," up from just 49% in February.

The latest CBS News/YouGov poll found that 64% rate the economy as somewhat or very good.

Democrats are in big trouble with messages that go against all of this. 68% of the public now says Trump's policies deserve at least some of the credit, according to the CBS poll. Thirty-five percent say he deserves a "great deal" of credit for the current economy, while only 11% say he deserves none at all.

Trump's approval numbers have also been eking out steady gains.

United Technologies announced today that they will take advantage of changes in the tax law passed in December to invest $15 billion in the US. They will repatriate cash from overseas to create 35,000 jobs over the next five years.

The competitive tax system resulting from Trump's tax reform is encouraging global companies like United Technologies to expand in America.

Reuters did a story on it. The AP missed it. CNN didn't bother to report it as of noon yesterday. Probably because United Technologies credited the TAX LAW change, which really did result in MORE MONEY for American working families.

The changes in repatriation rules and especially in lowering the corporate tax rate to a level competitive with the rest of the world provides incentive to US companies to keep more of their operations in the US. Remove those incentives, and we'll be back to ObamAmerica -- little or no expansion, stagnant wages and economic pessimism. Jobs will dry up and tax revenue will evaporate along with investments in the US economy.

The vast majority of people have no idea that it's not North Korea vs the United States but rather China vs the United States and President Trump is holding all the cards.I could not explain it any better than this post.Another excellent analysis from the best political site out there.

National median home values are rising at their fastest pace in 12 years, according to the April Zillow Real Estate Market Report. Over the past year, home values across the country rose 8.7 percent to a median value of $215,600. US home values are now higher than they have ever been.

Americans are also in a spending mood, boosted by recent tax cuts and rising wages. Millennials who long delayed becoming homeowners, are out in force.

The American Dream is within reach for more and more Americans.

S&P 500 companies have returned a record $1 trillion to shareholders over the past year. This return was spurred by a recent surge in dividends and stock buybacks that followed the sweeping corporate tax cuts pushed by the Trump Administration and passed by Congress.

In the 12 months through March, S&P 500 companies paid out $428 billion in dividends and bought up $573 billion of their own shares, according to Howard Silverblatt, an S&P Dow Jones Indices analyst. That compares with combined dividends and buybacks worth $939 billion during the year through March 2017. Companies have been returning much of that profit windfall to shareholders via share buybacks and increased dividends at never- seen-before amounts, highlighted by Apple's record $23.5 billion worth of shares repurchased in the first quarter.

Earnings per share of S&P 500 companies surged 26% in the March quarter, boosted by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed by Republican lawmakers in December. Not one Democrat voted for Americans to be able to keep more of what they earn.

S&P 500 companies have also plowed some of the windfall from lower taxes into investments toward growth or becoming more efficient. First-quarter capital expenditures totaled at least $159 billion, up more than 21% from the year before, according to S&P Dow Jones Indices.

The biggest overhaul of the U.S. tax code in more than 30 years cut the corporate income tax rate to 21% from 35% and made the US corporate tax code more competitive with the rest of the world.

According to Bloomberg, the US knocked Hong Kong out of first place among the world's most competitive economies. This has been fueled in part by faster economic growth. Switzerland-based IMD World Competitiveness Center placed Hong Kong second and Singapore third. The Netherlands reached #4 and Switzerland is in fifth place. The rest of the top 10, in descending order, were Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Sweden, and Canada.
According to Bloomberg, the United States, which reclaimed the top slot for the first time since 2015, scored especially well in international investment, domestic economy and scientific infrastructure sub-categories while earning below-average marks in public finance and prices.
Socialist Venezuela ranked as the worst economy, and Mongolia maintained its spot as second-to-last.

Since DJT has farkall to do with Venezuela and Mongolia's position on some bizarrely hijacked totem pole of MAGA self-importance, I still rate Venezuelan women over their NA sisters (but Colombiana's are still the best!) and I have an oil exploration job kicking off in Mongolia later in the summer so you can shove your hyped-up, over-fracked oil and gas self-sufficiency where no light shines at all brightly.

Jus' keepin' it fair 'n' balanced.

Why do I live in Thailand rather than the USA? I'd have to say that I love Thai women and and I much prefer warm or even hot weather. There are also many other reasons. Among those reasons, is that I am not saddled with property taxes and insurance for vehicles and a home. I don't have to have a license for for nearly every activity that you can think of. I was born and raised in Ohio and absolutely hated the snow and ice. I did live and work in south Florida and the decent areas were far too crowded. I also lived and worked in Southern Kalifornia. The liberal morons plus the penis envy women caused me to hate that state. That was the longest five years of my life. When I was able to retire, the happiest day of my life was sitting on the runway at LAX knowing I would never have to be in that state again and I never have. Thailand does have its share of warts but the benefits far outweigh the minor problems. My rights as a US citizen allow me to live wherever I choose and collect my small pension and Social Security without any hassle or penalties.

I have to say that I am also happy to see the US now has a president who is doing his best to wean the country off the socialism and one who creates jobs to put the leeches to work to get them off welfare and other government benefits.

Another American released and back home.

Josh Holt and his wife were released from Venezuelan custody after being held for two years.

Trump, the State Department, Senator Hatch (UT), Senator Lee (UT), Senator Corker (TN) and Representative Love (UT) all worked together to bring Holt and his wife home.

The CEO of Cisco, Chuck Robbins, announced that tax reform is why his company has been able to bring billions more into the US. Cisco is repatriating $67 billion dollars back into the US.

Robbins stated:

“We see increased M&A. We see investments in innovation, innovation centers. We see the ability to do, obviously, dividends and buybacks as well. So we’ll leverage the cash across all aspects of our capital strategy. Robbins said the company has been taking on debt “to a certain point” in the absence of domestic cash.

“The territorial tax system just gives us more flexibility to move cash around as we need it depending on where we need to put it to use,” Robbins said. “And the place we like to put it to use is in the United States.”
