When police arrived her body was on the bed, partly covered with a bed sheet. She was partially clothed and there were no traces of a struggle inside the room, Thai media reported.
A hotel housekeeper told police that she went to clean the room as usual. Upon entering it she saw the woman lying unconsciously in front of the bathroom door.
She initially thought the woman had fainted and called other staff who helped place her on the bed.
Only afterwards did they realise she was dead. She immediately alerted police.
