So I few days ago I received a mail communication from HSBC requiring me to fill in 3 pages of detail to ensure that the UK Government don't miss out on any tax I owe them..
If only the UK Government were so keen on getting the billions owed them by the large multi-nationals the national debt would probably be gone!
The foolish thing is that HSBC haven't paid interest on my account balance now for over 10 years so the tax liability is pretty dam easy to calculate no matter what my UK tax status is..

But it is an exercise in futility to argue with the UK authorities so, although my replies tend to be heavily laced with sarcasm, a reply needed to be air mailed to them.
So I waste a morning filling in forms that don't matter, trudging to the Post Office & paying a few baht in the hope that the mail will get there..

On returning home I am faced with this little beauty preventing home access..

My worry is that they say things come in 3's...

Ah, as if by magic a third arrives..

Air Asia letting me know that I now have to wait an additional 3.5 hours in DM on return from Vietnam before getting to Udon.
Apparently the FD 3356 which was scheduled to take off from DM at 04:20PM now takes off at 07:50 PM (1950 hrs).
The flight time has been moved from 29 October 2017 till 24 March 2018.

That means getting a refund & booking someone else..

Go With NOK Air Bob, If the times are better, Not Much difference in the fare....Don't know what date you are traveling back up here,But I See NOK Have Flights at 1220hrs & 1405 From DMK On MOST Days with A Promo Fare of 507 Baht + 242 Baht Taxes & Fees Total=750 Baht o/w Plus Any Luggage you may have....

Sign of the times

I sat it the Udon Thani Airport, late on Friday afternoon (13th Oct) only to depart from Udon for BKK some 2 hours late, on a Thai Smile flight (WE 7). No such "Smile" when I landed in BKK that evening. What was to have landed in Banger's around 5.10 pm, dropped out the sky about 7.10 pm, then only to wait another 30 minutes for the luggage and then get an AH of a taxi driver, who couldn't find third gear. [-o<

F...ken 8.45 pm before I hit the Beer Garden in Soi 7 and then it closed at 12.00 midnight , because of you know who's, "Anniversary".

At the same time Air Asia was running late (not sure buy how much) but it looked like a good hour plus and poor old NOK seem in total disarray. Just about standing room only in the Udon Thani Airport around 5.00pm

Oh well could have been worse [-o<
