Unless it's a high profile case (movie star, hi-so, etc) or an especially horrible crime, you're likely to read (in Thai news) the initial report, maybe one followup, and then that's the end. It's not that the cases get swept under the rug, it's that the press doesn't follow it after the first few days. Really not much different in the US.

Think same here...For example:

What happen with the Big boss at AEK that hired a gunman/police to kill his wife?

What happen with the Tessaban Big boss found guilty of corruption..and moore.,Maybe better to not have a follow up..Just forget and carry on..Same in my own country..moore or less.
