Good night for the English sides, yet another low spot in Europe for Celtic at home in what is already looking like an impossible group for them..

Comfortable win for United but at a cost with Pogba likely to be out for up to a month with a hamstring injury.
His replacement,Fellaini, was the star man, however, scoring one and making another.Lukaku and Rashford were the other scorers.
United could have won by more but Basel missed a great opportunity when the score was 0-0.de Gea also had to make a smart save late on.
Liverpool,Citeh and The Spuds all in action tonight,so good luck to them......
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Chelsea, Citi & Spurs also unveiled their 3rd. kit of the season yesterday.
To be used, mainly, in European matches.
Plenty of similarities between the kits, but they were all designed by Nike anyway..

Another pretty satisfying night for all the English sides.
Pool only managed a home draw, but it was against their strongest opponents in their group & the other group game ended in a draw as well, so no ground lost..

One assumes dat de big Jeerman woz in goal, as Sevilla stats show Shots on target 2 goals 2

Couple of goals for John Stones ......... if only he could learn how to defend he'd be a good player

Spuds finally manage to end winless run at Wemberlee =D>

Despite dropping some first team players (or, maybe because) the Gunners cruise to an easy win.
Nothing easy for Everton though, who seem a shadow of the side that played last year!!

Pool making hard work of their table with 2 drawas.
Citi look in command of theirs.
Spurs keeping pace with Madrid, which is about as good as anyone can hope for!!

United very much in charge of Group A as they put 4 past CSKA away in Moscow.
A rare Champions' League win for Celtic gives them hope of an Europa Cup place as PSG firmly put Bayern in their place in the top of the table Group B clash.
Nice last gasp away win against a strong Athletico side sees Chelsea top Group C while the Spanish drop to third spot behind Roma.
Barca do just enough away in Portugal but second place looks like being a real tussle between Sporting & Juve..

BATE Borisov 2 4 Arsenal
Everton 2 2 Apollon Limassol
Good away win for the Gunners & they sit 2 points clear at the top of group H already.
Another poor result for Everton, who concede the draw despite the opposition being down to 10 men. They sit bottom of Group E.

And Everton are not the ONLY team to not take the competition seriously with ALL THREE German clubs currently bottom of their respective (easy) groups

Pool finally get their show on the Champions' League road & with a vengeance. Spartak do them an additional favour by thrashing previous leaders, Sevilla, in Moscow. Looks like it will be a close run thing for the first 2 spots.

Citi can't replicate their stunning League scoring but that is of little consequence as they make it 3 out of 3. Shakhtar Donetsk take advantage of second place rivals, Napoli, loss to Citi to move clear by 3 points.

Besiktas also have a perfect record in Group G. Poor Monaco are languishing in last place after the summer loss of just too many players..

Spurs are managing to make an almost impossible to qualify from Group H look like a walk in the park. Excellent result in Spain sees them locked at the top with Madrid. The best possible result for them in the other game, a draw, sees them 6 points clear of third. Very encouraging indeed..
