YES Val .. there will be fresh as well as frozen meats on sale at the new shop ..in fact i have just had a meeting this afternoon with the import company TIT will be using for fresh Beef n Lamb from Australia , New Zealand and Argentina.

The plan is that hopefully the different businesses within the same row can work hand in hand wheres as many of the meat products on the Tap menu will be for sale via TIT next door , much the same as happens now with the beverages customers find something they like then can buy or order it direct by the full case from 3DM also in the same row .

probably jon meant defrosted ..ready to use ...
every beef /meat coming from where ever is frozen , unless you buy on the local market where the cow /animal is butchered the night before ....if you buy there do not forget to leave it a day or 3 (depending what you bought)in your refrigerator before using.. i am not blown away from the australian beef but did eat some fine argentina beef on our last visit abroad ...;)

Transported cryovacced & chilled, I would expect, same as other fresh, imported products. Red meat is not as volatile as salmon safely imported from Norway in the same way. The safety issue you are attempting to raise is a non-issue.

Tops and Villa import Australian beef.

Fully cyrovac pack. Hasnt been frozen. Still in its original export package.

Imagine TIT have same option.

joepai and kopkei.
Good to have feed back.

Thanks for the comments.
Yes some meat is frozen for export but, in saying that, export meat does not have to be frozen and most cases now it is cryovac packed and kept in a chilled environment for export. This is the wet stage aging processing as opposed to dry stage aging. Which is hung beef in a controlled environment.
The products in the TIT shop are from an importer who brings in a premium quality product which goes through very strict licensing procedures from the original suppliers and country of origin.
The meat in TIT will be stored at the required temps and condition for all products.
If Australian meat product is not to your liking then the Argentinian beef will be available for you.

Once opened please do come along for a friendly chat and discuss your requirements and have a look at the shop and storage facilities.
You may even be swayed to the aussie product in stock. :D

Will give it a go !!... its got a roof rack .

New issue to deal with the soon to be implemented requirements for the shipping of beef and lamb regarding a cross provincial transportation license /document that you have to provide if requested at police check points ANOTHER HURDLE to get around ...pretty much the same as we now have for the booze tax /travel docs etc.

They probably will also insist on temperature control / discs / charts for the chillers and freezer vehicles . As its a massive HACCP issue

They have already talked about adding this within the changes .. i am now talking to a the import company who already have everything in place regarding the delivery of beef n lamb products rather than shipping it via our own transport in chilled foam boxes .... may put a few baht on per kilo but much better IMO .
