I think prejudice hurt my country, New Zealand, really badly. We should have taken many Asians many many decades ago. I suspect the US would have benefited doing that too.

I have never really understood why the US didn't sort out its southern border problem. Presumably too many people or too many important people benefit from those sneaking across the border to make the feds too keen to close it.

On a rational level Drumpf seems to be stumbling but I think there's some doubt whether his whistling will adversely affect him on election day. I think the Democrats under-estimate him at their peril. He's undoubtedly first class entertainment. I think it's very bad form though to talk up Putin and Kim Hairdo.

I think the best label for him is populist. He doesn't have much in common with the establishment conservatives such as Paul Ryan.

Border protection is not racism, it is realism. When a country refuses to protect it's borders and ignores laws about deporting illegal immigrants, it is stomping on the rights of its citizens. American government has been doing that since the 50's. It is too bad that American citizens have awoken too late to do anything about it. The entitlement class, along with the starry eyed liberals, now outnumbers the real taxpayers. It is very hard to get someone good for America's future when you have to get voters to give away the freebies that the socialists have given them.

I've been accused of wearing rose-colored glasses (I guess that means I'm not racist). When I read news like that at
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/02/scien ... enter.html
it makes me wonder what all the fuss about Make America Great Again is.

And for all the talk about loss of jobs, wonder why no one talks about the 30k US jobs at google, 200k jobs at Amazon, 9k at Yahoo, 5k at SpaceX, 13k at Tesla, Oracle 136k......just a few examples of higher paying tech jobs in the US.

Yep.

Obama's Justice Department has protected Sanctuary Cities that violate federal immigration law and harbor illegal aliens, and they sue border states that apprehend illegal aliens for apprehending them and create state laws to protect the citizens of those states. That will not end with H.Clinton.
It would be a shame to report the news (that illegals are voting for Obama or Clinton) without reporting a somewhat truer version of the news.

How ironic that Trump may be taken down by Muslim immigrants from Pakistan whose son was killed in Iraq.

nah, I don't think the media can continue to beat up that one for too much longer.. Remember, the attention span of the American public is gnat-like.. Some other "crisis'emergency" or newsworthy event will bludgeon those stories off the air and the electorate will gnaw on the new stuff for a while and totally forget the rest... Lucky for Hillary that Trump loves the taste of his own feet since he's constantly putting them in his mouth... It's deflecting attention from her blatant lying as evidenced by the Chris Wallace interview where she stated that FBI Director Comey found her truthful and trustworthy in her statements.. Of course, she leaves out the rest where Comey was referring to her several hour interview with the FBI and not her multiple lies to the American people throughout the e-mail saga.. Even the Washington Post gave her 4 Pinnochios on that one....... No worries though since Trump's continual out of control blathering allows the media to ignore Hillary....

Parrot; after reading the following, you may reflect "ironic" doesn't begin to describe the situation. :-k
"Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely" , comes to mind. :(

" Breitbart News and other new media have exposed Khan’s various deep political and legal connections to the Clintons—and to Muslim migration—the attack line has crumbled. Now, with Khan deleting his website in an apparent effort to hide his biographical information, the attack is falling apart even more.
What’s perhaps interesting is that also on this website that he has now deleted, Khan revealed that he spent nearly a decade working for the mega-D.C. law firm Hogan & Hartson—now Hogan Lovells LLP—which connects him directly with the government of Saudi Arabia and the Clintons themselves. Saudi Arabia, which has retained the firm that Khan worked at for years, has donated between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation. Hillary Clinton, despite the repeated urging of Trump, has refused to return the Clinton Cash money to the Saudis. What’s more, Hogan Lovells also did Hillary Clinton’s taxes—and helped acquire the patents for parts of the technology she used in crafting her illicit home-brew email server that the FBI director called “extremely careless” in handling classified information.
What’s more, the entire mainstream has proven negligence with regard to this matter as none of them even thought to look into this Khan guy’s law practice before bandying him about as some kind of magic elixir that cures the country of Trump. Begs the question: Why not?"

No sympathy for Trump. Now he'll lose because the elections are rigged. Or he'll lose because of the media. Or he'll lose because the GOP is starting to bail on him (Meg Witman). Or he'll lose because the 12 million illegal immigrants are 'voting' for the opposition. No matter, he'll lose because his shlong is longer than his legs and he can't stop stepping on it. Small hands or not.
As I see it, the Khan/Trump affair has nothing to do with Clinton or the Saudis or immigration. It has to do with someone standing up to him, and not backing down, on his self-proclaimed 'sacrifices' for our country. No matter that he didn't serve in the military and he can't remember whether he received an astonishingly high draft number of he had a bone spur to prevent his being drafted.
