Indeed I have met 747man on a few occassions but not for a year or two now.
When I used to do my 90 days reports at Nong Khai I used to go to Beer Belly Billys afterwards which was run by Pete a Burnley fan.
747man was a regular customer there and a legend of the Mekong.

He mostly enjoys the stick and banter I give him on this thread and the EPL one and when he returns from his Anger Management Course in the UK he should be more relaxed when posting !

Anyway,in Liverpool today its going to be sunshine and showers with a maximum temperature of 15c 59f.
I'm off to Bangkok for the day tomorrow and for the hundreds of UM Map members interested in the weather there for Tuesday

its predicted to be cloudy and humid with a maximum temperature of 35c 95f.

I'm really missing 747man, the Bard of udonmap. Hopefully he's back soon as the Nongers weather should soon start to cool down.

Looking at the weather forecast for Udon,earlier in the week,I noticed that this Saturday and Sunday has heavy rainfall predicted.Indeed,on Sunday,daytime temperatures are shown as 24c max and nighttime temperatures as 20c max.
But since yesterday lunchtime its been raining "cats and dogs" in Udon when only light rain was predicted.
I'm wanting to go out to the AEK to tax my car but looking at our garden and road outside I might need a miniature submarine to achieve this !

accuweather.com says there's a high of 23 with a real feel of 25 in Nongers tomorrow. Streuth, if that's right, you need to get out your cool season clothes. The tourist season is close ...

A real feel high of 42 forecast for the Riviera today.

It would seem the kind of day to stick near your swimming pool if you have one.

Since last Saturday the nights have been great in Udonsville.No need for aircon and great to snuggle up under the duvet.
The next few days are continuing sunny and the nighttime lows being around 22c 72f.

The people in Nongers and Udonsville would struggle with that.

It's a pleasant 77 degrees at 7pm at kilo 18. But my not-so-smart phone app (accuweather) says its 84 degrees.

Can anyone recommend a more accurate smartphone app for local weather?

Unfortunately, all the lists of the best I have seen include AccuWeather, so I guess you will just have to try a couple & see what best suits where you actually are..

A couple of comparisons for todays weather in the palm tree paradise of Udon........

BBC.....High 31c 88f,Low 23c 73F

Accuweather....High 33c 91f,Low 24c 75f.

Currently with Accuweather it says 29c 84f but feels like 37c 100f........ and later this afternoon is going to feel like 42c 108f

Just how can they gauge this "feel like" ? feels like "b l o o d y hot" to me no matter what !

Exactly. This delightful thread is driven by the upbeat prose from udonmap's Bard rather than from scientific data. Hopefully William 747man is back soon.

Hopefully the feel like is not so bloody hot these days. Out of towners will be following the Nongers and Udonsville weather more closely as the summer break approaches. OK, the JC's birthday break for readers from the Udon side of the equator.

We're entering the season where the man's regular posts are very much needed. I gather he's still back in Blighty trying to sort out Everton not getting enough biscuits this season and isn't on a mod based long holiday.

I am. In Udon. If you're complaining about my posts, please pm the mods directly. The map as it's entitled to do enforces breaches of its rules much more vigorously these days. I try to follow the rules and listen to the mods.

If you're Australian, I note there was a recent court case in Oz where the defendant submitted it was Un-Australian to dob. I understand from Australian posters on the map that being a dobber is worse than being Rolf Harris.
