We don't get too many chances to use our supply of Sodium Chloride, so we have an enourmous mountain of the stuff ........... only another 252 runs and England will have to bat again

Just to show I'm not taking the p*ss tooooooooo much, some GOOD news for the Aussies.

At least they had 132 more runs on the board when the 3rd wicket fell in this innings =D>

I think much depends on Hussey. If Clarke can stay with him & then North & Haddin then it still can be a draw. If Hussey goes cheaply then I think it is game over. Clarke is looking a little more 'himself' after 3 poor knocks so there is still plenty of hope.

No only live video streaming on the net, not on any of the Thai TV systems.
If you look back in this thread there are a few different links to free live streaming of the matches. Not sure what it is like on dial up, but works acceptably on wireless & I would imagine great on ASDL...

As an alternative to the dulcet key strokes of Bob Arlott you should be able to get the automatically updating "text commentary" on BBC Sport – updates are usually 3 minute or more apart, current link:

I believe that the Librarian (Jeremy) has a cunning plan in place to show it live at the Book House once he returns from Europe. I do not know of any other bar that has managed to solve the problems around showing it in Udon, although I know that a couple put a lot of thought into trying to show it that failed to get off the ground.

Update, actually not much use at the moment as:
0529 BAD LIGHT STOPS PLAY
Aus: 175-3

Oh dear - it was inevitable. Umpires Tony Hill and Marais Erasmus consult their light metres and offer the light to the Aussie batsmen, who stick their bats under their armpits and are sauntering off the pitch. England arms are outstretched - they are asking why the floodlights cannot be switched on, which is a valid question. The wind has picked up substantially as the flags on top of the tented stands are blowing with fury, which suggests the clouds are moving very swiftly. The rain has yet to appear but it looks like it's only a matter of minutes...

Play Stopped ... Covers on the wicket. Bad light, high wind and it is about to bucket down.

That's it for the day! The weather forecast is worse for tomorrow. The English are forlorn to say the least.

As black as the ace of spades, absolutely bucketing down and blowing a gale .... and the umpires want to take the covers off and try and resume play  This'll be interesting :?

I have a feeling the light meters will get a work out soon.
