One of rock n roll's pioneers has sadly passed away at age 87. A controversial figure to say the least but so many in the music industry owe a great deal to the innovations he brought to the listening audience. Rest in peace and thanks for the music.

Good Golly Miss Molly! The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis, is the only one alive of the four most influential early rock and rollers. Elvis, Chuck Berry and the Queen, Mr. Penniman, are all dead. Jerry Lee is very sick too.

Don Everly and The Killer are the only ones still alive.

I remember back in the late 50s or early 60s reading that one of the Everly brothers had mental problems, but I never found out if it was fact or rumour.

Recently (yesterday) I learnt that the first line of 'Tutti Frutti' by Little Richard was changed: ' Little Richard was forced to change the original lyrics to "Tutti Frutti" because of their overtly (homo)sexual references. (The first line was originally "Tutti Frutti, nice booty. If it don’t fit, don’t force it... You can grease it, make it easy.")
