28 minute mark. Tending to the view these guys seem to know their field very well. Doctors too often miss the big picture but these guys might have it. The problem with this interview is a doctor is interviewing a doctor. In my experience a skilled lay person (e.g. a health journalist) interviewing a doctor works better.

I watched the whole thing. Is there a prize? I'm not even sure what the main message was. Belly fat is very unhealthy? Nutrition is important? Our optimal nutrition is unique? I think the female doctor was more impressive. She seemed to articulate what I understand are more mainstream views.

Probably not, unless you filter your indoor air.

Here's tonight after a cup of tea with milk and sugar and a couple of McVities plain chocolate digestives.

I think I'll have another digestive...
I have two types of sphygmomanometer. The first one is the full upper arm cuff one (results posted earlier) and the wrist type which I tote for work (attached herein).

I look at it this way, while having a Heart Attack or even a Stroke is not preferable for longevity, I try to assume if i work hard in the3 garden, suffer no fainting spells, no pains in my chest and can still walk a kilometre in about 10 mins, without suffering from any breathlessness, then I assume most of my working bits are fine . As I do that about three to four times a week I do not worry.
What I find is the constant reading devices that show me , a ;little heavier or not, BP up or down, Pulse up or down that would give me MORE STRESS and I know stress is a killer .So I let karma decide and hope it will be quick, I certainly do not want to linger longer.as a breathing vegetable .

God morning Khun Paul !

As you mention before as an answer of yours to a post/answer to a post..Something in the lines of ..-Everybody have a different take/approach to take care of their health,i agree to dissagree Khun Paul.

A couple of yearly full bloodtest and maybe a heart/prostate Ultra or CT scan can safe/stifel alot of medical bills and heartace intead of choosing your approach..what in my book i call beeing stupid or just thinking his body is worth maybe in total 5000+bath...ust to know how your health INSIDE is,but it's up to you and everyone else to have their take on their own body and health, there we agree but that's all.
A BP meter can acually tell you alot, not only your BP on a daily basis..it can indirect tell you how your kidneys takes a toll or not..Prosessed food, todays killer number uno,no or very little exercise, stress, drinking habits.Diabetes, alkohol, smoking and let us not forget S U G A R..My thoughts only Khun Paul.Let me ask you this:What happens if you suddenly find yourself pastout while doing your gardenwork..if lucky you end up in Hospital..Docs takes some tests and find that your heart had an "event",no the docs tells you we have to check this and that..and just maybe they find something that if you don't change whatever needed to fix the problem, are you still going to just relay on saving 5000Bath..but willing to pay WAAAAY more on meds and hospitalbills, you deside..agree..ut donät you think a smarter thing would be checking what's REALLY going on in your body.My advice is clear...be prevented instead of a CheapCharlie---love your body and it will love you back Khun Paul....Agree or not?

No need for name calling, He didn’t say he doesn’t go to the doctor.‪ ‬
‪His point is that constantly monitoring BP would cause him stress.‬

‪Everyone should see their doctor for regular check-up, and do what the doctor recommends, but overly fretting over your vital signs daily can be stressful.‬ Been there done that.

The subject of your initial post is well intended and could possibly save someone’s life. As we are all finding out people who look fit and healthy can have a ticking time bomb of coronary artery disease.
It’s a great idea to be checked and we’ll done for letting people know.
When you post something like this on a forum people will have different experience’s and opinions of their own which they are entitled too.
Insulting people on this forum who have differing opinions has always been a massive problem for ruining good subject matter on UM and why many do not post anymore!
Be respectful DD and try not to always have the last say.
