Suvarnabhumi Priority Lane For Seniors

Post by jackspratt » September 7, 2022, 9:55 pm

For all you old buggars like me, today I discovered a handy tip when departing international.

If you are over 70, you are able to utilise the priority departure lane, mixing it with the 1st class hoi poloi, venal politicians and wannabe civil servants.

Instead of heading upstairs on the escalator to security, and then downstairs again to immigration, just head to the far end of the outwards hall, and look for Lane 3. It is clearly signedposted as Priority.

Having been through that, I am currently suffering in the JAL lounge due to a late departure because of shiitty weather at Swampy.

Thanks for the tip. Let us know if there are one of those on your return to Thailand. Enjoy the baseball, the hot dogs and the hamburgers.

Thanks Uncle.

There's a big, scary New York awaiting me in 24 hours.

If you're lucky the New York flight will be diverted to Toronto and you can watch the Argonauts (football), the Varsity Blues (football), Toronto F.C. (soccer) and the Blue Jays vs. Tampa Bay. Furthermore, you can meet me at the Varsity game.

Another handy hint which is probably common sense for most people!

If you have Lounge access via Priority Pass/Dragon Pass etc, dont just head to the generic Miracle Lounge. Dont know why but, I've always done this. - probably because, as an Etihad frequent flyer I'm pointed in this direction. Earlier this week I decided to be adventurous and use the Air France/KLM one. The difference was huge.

Seating aplenty and much improved food/drinks selection.
