Hmmmm I guess we'll never know, but a case of someone genuinely confused OR, not that unusual here, somebody who didn't want to go the correct, but long way round?

As long as he/she had the hazard flashers on, it's OK to do what they want and to pot with everyone else.

I wonder if anyone actually thought about the possibility of moving the minibus/songthaw stop/terminus (both directions) before they reduced the road to a narrow 2 lanes. Many's the time in UK that a Bus stop/terminus has been moved a few hundred metres to a more convenient location whilst road repairs/modifications are carried out

That's a very sensible idea, Statto, particularly on the coming out of Udon, market side, because the buses stopping and wanting to join the traffic (often wanting to push in at the front as one reaches the lights, functioning or not) are a pain. Isn't there scope within the market for buses to line up, then make their way out Tesco/Nongbua road, which would be less hassle? I can't think of any nearby space the coming in to Udon side, but that's less of a problem. Your idea should reach those in charge - the Chamber of Commerce was involved, wasn't it, particularly if it affects those with market businesses?

I suggest revolving number plates too, like 007.

Coming into Udon there is plenty of room near the petrol station and the road could easily cope as there is currently parking(day)/food stalls (night) along that stretch.
