Don't think its gonna be the best in the showroom for that price. I would expect hundreds of thousands of KM on the clock - no service history and no receipts for past work done. As far as I know - most will go for 300,000 even 400,000.

In my opinion it isn't worth buying second hand

Pick ups start in the 400,000's for the base models.

better to buy one from someone you know (and trust).

When I was looking at secondhand vehicles - it seemed a good calculation that at 10 years old they were still 50% of their purchase price - no thanks !

I agree with Paul, be careful [-X . For that sort of money I'd spend a couple of days down south (Pattaya or the like) and buy from a farang who has to sell in a hurry. AND check the books

strongly disagree! anything can be fixed here cheap! just have it checked out by someone you trust and knows what they are doing! Trucks hold their value here, so a good thing to look for is someone needing to sell quick because leaving country. It would be worth the time to look at a new base models, to get to know what you are getting.

You are absolutely right Dakoda - "anything can be fixed here cheap"

I did not buy secondhand for that very reason

Imagine zooming down that long stretch of road you know so well at 100km/hour and suddenly that cheap repair that the previous owner did not tell you about fails!

The weld on the axle snaps? the bakes fail? the repaired engine part shears?

I would not put the life of myself or my family in that situation

My wifes realtive suffered a very bad car crash last year and his car was written off.
2 months ago he drove round to my house in his repaired car - which looked perfect - but.............

And if you saw it on the secondhand forecourt you would think its a good looking well maintained car.

Even back in the UK where we have compulsory annual checks - I would still be cautious of buying secondhand - but here where anything is allowed to be on the road ??? hmmmm- why risk life - just to save a few baht?

Sorry about that, couldn't help myself. Good luck but as I said be careful, I know of 2 guys in Bun Dung who have been stung. A big reason why I bought new.

we just sold one 7yr old pickup to relatives in BKK 110,000k, we got 150k for it. Seems like everyone wanted to buy it! Cost new 400k.

I am sure that a safe second hand car/truck can be found. Of course if you know nothing about auto's than you could be stuck real bad. Like the picture or like Paul said
