Re: Sun lounger / deckchair.
I have fopund over the years here that a Sun-loungers available here are not robust enough. 4 purchased, two collapased un der my weight, one after 6 months fell apart and one , well its frame was useful for holding up some plants .
Unless your a slim under 80 kilos man you stand small chance of lounging as it were on a sun lounger, soft thin mattress on the ground a far better option, at least they do not collapse ............lol

Re: Sun lounger / deckchair.
Thank you Mr. Dun. K P , about 74 kls. Should be okay. Thanks.
Re: Sun lounger / deckchair.
Yes got to agree with Khun Paul. Unless your built like a small Thai get a lounger that's like the ones you see at the side of pools.
I remember I took a lounger out when my wife was away visiting family. The frame collapsed whilst l was sitting in it and what a job l had getting out of the bent tubing.
Yes I know I'm a fat B. Just before anyone else pipes in.

Top floor in Boontavorn on the ring road ..walk thru the lighting department and there is/was an excellent selection of sun loungers n out door chairs on the left before all the posh furniture starts.

Re: Sun lounger / deckchair.
I will add that these bamboo loungers you see the guys on the ring road selling are OK. Had one of those for a few years.
Re: Sun lounger / deckchair.
Good recall there Jimmy. I've bought a couple of these extra-wide ones over the years but not a bamboo frame, just regular wood battens. The frames held up longer than the stuffed cushions. They used to be sold roadside on the eastern ring road but had to give up after it went to single lane and nobody can stop.

Thank you gents.
Re: Sun lounger / deckchair.
If you head out on HWY2 towards Nong Khai, maybe 500m past the International School, there’s a little shop that will make the plastic rattan furniture to order. You can’t miss it, there’s always some gaudy furniture roadside with little factory set up out back.
There’s about 10 large books inside to choose from many different styles or they’ll make to your design. There’s samples of every colour imaginable for the rattan & cushion fabric.
I had a couple of loungers made with little table (along with other assorted outdoor furniture) & can’t fault them.
It looks to me like the frame is 12mm hollow round bar & it’s pretty solid. Took two weeks from order & deposit.
It’s probably worth pointing out there’s a similar shop on the ring road near Soi Nong Bua traffic lights but I found them to be about 30% more expensive & not willing to deviate from the quoted price even for an item I’d seen roadside for at least two months. Maybe because the young girl left in charge had just been told the prices?
PS
Seeing as you asked, I for one am happy you started this 8th thread because my OCD likes even numbers
EDIT
Found this on Google Streetview. This is what the outside looks like
