Not Pitta, but Makro has whole wheat Roti and whole wheat Indian naan bread that we make some yummy wraps with.

You can buy bran from most any Jay food store/restaurant.
Look for Chinese restaurants with with what looks like a number '17' sign outside.
Add a little bran to your pitta filling.

Most people simply won't pay 2 or 3 times as much because it's wholemeal. This equally applies to wholemeal loaves and other bread. It's a shame, as I love it too.
