Wasn’t the TekeWiz shop a site for a confirmed Covid infection. Were there any other precautionary measures in place other than the hand gel? I haven’t visited for a week.

Oh, nice find, I like tartare sauce 👍

Yes, I went full hazmat yesterday.

The Telewiz shop was still shuttered, minimal signage. At the other end of that strip (opposite the small Kasikorn and Thanachart banks that have customers wait outside) is a shop that's also closed with loads of paperwork stuck on the door relating to Covid.

About a dozen jars of tartare on the shelf inside a sparsely populated Big C. I mentioned in another thread it tastes better than Tesco's brand. Maybe it's those cornichons they use?

Just found Mrs Ns favourite fruit vendor has got Durian at 85 baht/kg. Next cheapest we’ve found is the wholesale fruit market at 100 baht/kg.

It’s a roadside stall just about opposite Prime Square. She’s exceptionally busy so stock might not last

It's either 58 baht or 85 baht. Sorry, but I suffer from numerical dyslexia.

Because r and t are next to one another on the keyboard ......

It is a sort of spicy mayonnaise with gherkins and capers, and vinegar. Great with fish.

Durian has gone up to 100 baht/kg at our favourite vendor. I asked why & apparently it’s because this is Mongthong variety which means burger all to me, it still stinks like a blocked drain.
I did notice it had also gone up in the fruit market to 130 baht/kg & a little roadside stall just before C2MU had a sign saying 200 baht/kg. I didn’t stop

(ทุเรียนพันธุ์หมอนทอง) Monthong (golden pillow) durian is wide spread and quite popular in Thailand. Mrs. S is partial the turian phu khao fai (ทุเรียนภูข้าวไฟ) that is the durian grown in the volcanic soil of Sisaket province. She generally orders them for delivery to Udon when they are plentiful and the price is right. Although I'm not a huge fan of durian I'll have to agree that if I'm going to eat it, the Sisaket volcanic soil fruit is favored. They are a bit pricier but worth the additional cost.

Using "Durian method" (Not to be confused with Duckworth-Lewis) the price = how bad it smells/tastes then Marmite & Vegemite should be about B5000 a jar

Statts .. Nuts to the smell n taste ( personally i hate the stuff ).. more so Durian pricing is a ripp orf .. crazy sold by the kg and most is chucked in the bin .. i would rather eat haggis out the crack of a ladyboys elbow... to coin a now infamous adjective YUK
