Carnoustie-Panmure had a memorable week as they blasted Blaingowrie, 6-2 on Wednesday, and downed a tough Abroath squad, 3-0, yesterday. One would think Manchester United and the Evertons would try and pick up a few strikers from C-P to bolster their pathetic offences.

Brechin City came through with a huge 3-0 defeat of the always strong Strathspey Thistle squad, 3-0.

The only downside was Dundee United getting held to a 1-1 draw by a heavily favoured Blaingowrie team.

In January, mediocre, mid-table Aberdeen sacked their manager and gave Barry Robson a 'temporary' job as caretaker manager. In May, after a late season 7-game "incredible Pittodrie transformation" got them into Europe, he was given the job with a 2-year contract.

Now, after a 5-game winless league start to 2023/24, and a short-lived Europa League campaign, apparently his job is on the line.

There are a couple of shutouts to report from Scottish soccer on the weekend. In Scottish Cup action, Brechin City blanked Rothes 3-0. You will be pleased to read that Dundee United kept Inverness CT at bay by a one nothing count.

St. Mirren looks like the best bet to be bridesmaid to Celtic this season. Rangers 1-3 loss to mediocre Aberdeen sees the demise of the former's manager and a brief respite for the gaffer at Pittodrie.

Brechin City dumped Banks O'Dee 1-0 on Thursday; however, the lads sadly lost to Fraserburgh 2-1 in the semi-finals of the Highland League Cup.

Carnoustie-Panmure, as usual, hammered the opposition, Forfar United, by a 6-1 count.

Dundee United came up aces again with a 4-1 drubbing of Queen's Park.

Readers will be overjoyed to learn that Brechin City beat Invervurie Loco Works, 2-1, last Thursday. But they must be disappointed that Dundee United only managed a 1-1 tie with The Raith Rovers in Scottish Championship action.

Yes, that is an appropriate response for a fan of the Evertons. How many games did it take before the Evertons scored the same number of goals as the Scottish team scored in one game? It is no wonder that you are astonished and in awe. WOW, indeed!

Dundee United hammered Arbroath 6-0 yesterday, but the boys at Brechin City fell in a nail-biter, 2-1, to Spartans F.C.

You triggered the lad 747, no? Now go back to the EPL and figure out what's going on with Manchester United.
