Scottish Football (Soccer)

Post by Laan Yaa Mo » August 21, 2023, 11:19 am

In case anyone forgot, Brechin City won the Highland Cup in April, 2023 by thrashing Buckie Thistle, 2-0. Of course, the Highland Cup is the most coveted soccer trophy in the U.K. Let's take a look at the highlights,

Well, that wasn't very good, let's try this,

Hmmmm...well, the main point is that Brechin City are the Cup winners.

It's nice to see that Fort William has upgraded its stadium, but that's still a long way to travel for home games.
Fort William Stadium is a soccer, football, and track and field stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario and is part of the Royal Canadian Legion Sports Complex.[1] It has a seating capacity of 3,500.[2] Many upgrades have been made to the complex, including scoreboard, lights and field size

Back on topic: a last gasp penalty, deep in stoppage saw Aberdeen share the spoils with Paisley's Oscar-winning actresses.

Right, and how many goals have the Evertons put past the opposing goaltenders in three games this season?

Meanwhile various Scottish teams are getting their arses handed to them in various European qualifiers.

In this regard, they're almost as consistent and predictable as the Evertoons are in their domestic outings.
