Still uncertain off the field times at Scunny ... 7 excellent new signings coming in which is great and it seems if the team cannot play at Glanford Park a pplan B deal has been struck to ground share with Gainsboro Trinity circa 19 miles away until the new 12000 stadium is built in Scunny town center.. which is a very optimistic 2 or 3 years away.

DM very optimistic with the playing squad being assembled and shall stick a few bob on the iron for an immediate return to the NL.

Heres some details of possibly Scunnys temporary home .. the local pubs n businesses can make hay while the sun shines with 3 or 4000 fans there as well as thier own fans.. double bubble on home fixtures and also rent for the hosts good news for them too.

So, do you want home, away or classic black third?

Scunny pulled out of the Everton merger Jack .. way too toxic and the Iron did not want to get dragged down with them as they fall through the leagues as Scunny rebuild and start their 10 year plan to be in the PL ..ala Luton.

Do they have the sponsor's name plastered all over them with the team's name in small print on the fly?

¡Omigosh! ¡Quelle faux pas!

That link was for LAST years kit.

Maybe they haven't got their sponsorship sorted since they've just fallen out of League 1.

Not unusual to hire a virtually new team to compete in a lower division as they obviously didnt want to keep paying NL wages in NLN and NL level players (all be it not very good ones) would not want to drop a League and take a pay cut, hence a raft of new signings who are happy to compete and get paid at NLN wages

Not sure about that Statto .. most of the new signings have come from leagues above Scunny , i am very happy with Jimmy Deans newbies as are most other fans , SUFC are remaining 100% full time and looking at the wage bill the salaries are the same as NL and even L2...not forgetting clubs like Chester Boston and North Shields i am quietly confident the Iron can challenge at the toppa the table and get promoted come the end of the 23 24 season.

Just this ground issue to sort out... land purchased for new stadium but thats 3 years away so deals need to be done to secure a home in those years, GP seems ok for this coming season after that WTF knows

I take it Quibbel Park and Ashby Ville (ex speedway venues) are not now options? and I presume the current Speedway track is too small to incorperate a footie pitch inside?

Correct

Ground share seems planned season 24 25 with Gainsboro Trnity 19 miles away .. plenty of other options until the NEW SHOW GROUND is finished.

Hoping for a successful last season at GP

They are no doubt going to leave their options open for as long as possible. If it doesnt look like promotion is possible then perhaps somewhere nearer will suffice and still meet NLN ground requirements.

From the Daily Mail's coverage of the Champions League final... "A blue moon rose above the Bosphorus on Saturday night, above the battalions of minarets that point to the sky, above the armies of cargo ships massing in the Sea of Marmara, and climbed so high and waxed so full that it cast its glow over a club whose name we once used as an affectionate code to signify misfortune and suffering."

Misfortune and suffering? I thought that was Scunthorpe United?
