EPL transfer window Summer 2022
With 2 days to go before the 2022 transfer window opens (Aston Villa/PSG/etc to note ) here's a thread to put the "scoops" bits of insider info etc, as well as any transfers that actually take place.
Interestingly as of today Newcastle (according to various papers/websites/experts/insider contacts) are being linked with a move for 54 players, so perhaps some need to be taken with the proverbial pinch of salt

Matt Targett completed his medical and expected to sign for Newcastle on Friday when the window opens for a fee of £12m after being on loan since last January.

You really dont know how strange it feels just to see headlines like this after 14 years of Ashley .....
"Chelsea, Newcastle and Paris St-Germain are all interested in 22-year-old Portugal and AC Milan forward Rafael Leao. (La Repubblica via Football London)"

MMMmmm contact from inside SJP informs me there are THREE medical slots booked for this afternoon, so may be some signings incoming
Could Newcastle possibly have seen off Inter/PSG/Arsenal/Spurs & Man U and got Botman?
His agents plane spotted at Newcastle Airport this morning and he is currently in Wales

This should please GT, more toffee news ...... It appears that in addition to signing the shirt sponsorship deal with "Stake", they are serious about reducing their debt to try to avoid the FFP deduction by selling their players, Richarlison is supposedly in talks with spurs over a 51 million quid (60 million Euro) move and my sources tell me DCL has been "offered" to Newcastle for 35 million

Re: EPL transfer window Summer 2022
Dont think it will happen, but probably depends on the price and medical report.......... if last seasons injuries and his "mental condition" seem to have been overcome 35 million might be worth a gamble. Ekiteke has just done his hammy for the second time and hes only 19, so that's worrying and may put paid to that move

Re: EPL transfer window Summer 2022
Why ALL This Fuss over Everton's new shirt sponsor " Stake " Didn't Some Other Teams have the SAME Sponsor last season ?? And NOBODY Mentioned a thing,But NOW it's Everton who are the BAD Boys,Yer Couldn't Make it Up !!!!stattointhailand wrote: ↑June 12, 2022, 4:54 pmThis should please GT, more toffee news ...... Re: EPL transfer window Summer 2022
As if it wasn't bloody obvious enough, you need to have it spelled out ....... The govt (twats that they may be) are about to bring in a ban on all gambling company advertising, which has led to all the teams with sponsors logos to try and get OUT of their deals before they do. Newcastle have reduced the deal they have from 5 to 3 years which means that they will not carry the logo beyond this season (they are trying to buy out this seasons deal, but look unlikely to be able to do so). I believe 19 of last seasons 20 teams had some sort of gambling logo on their shirts, so the "fuss" as you put it, is that whilst everyone EXCEPT EVERTON are reducing their deals Everton have signed a new multi season deal
Re: EPL transfer window Summer 2022
The Toffees Stake deal. Dichotomy or paradox? Think of the upside; if they get their scheiße together, they could earn a promotion playoff against Watford.747man wrote: ↑June 13, 2022, 10:52 amWhy ALL This Fuss over Everton's new shirt sponsor " Stake " Didn't Some Other Teams have the SAME Sponsor last season ?? If you want to get an extra 20 million so you can repaint Goodison, it won't be through any pie in the sky valuations of Richarlison. He's just not all that special. He'll have to put his fragile ego away in order to hold a regular spot against Son or possibly Kulusevski.
Maybe DCL wants to stay in the EPL?
