I believe Norway (Norge) eventually conquered the British Isles in overtime.

Finland dumped the U.S.A., 4-1.

A real barnburner then with plucky Norway eking out a stupid shootout win. They should leave those things as ties. One point for a tie, two points for a victory.

As for World Cup quarter, semi and final soccer matches, keep playing until a winner emerges. Ban the shoot outs.

Latvia knocked off brave Norway, 3-2, breaking a number of hockey hearts.

GB fans not happy in Finland ...... forced to drink Koff beer all the time as anyone wishing to drink anything else has to sell three other supporters into slavery to pay for one glass

Really drawn the short straw this year with ALL teams in Group B being far stronger than GB, whereas group "A" has three teams that GB could have matched and have beaten in the last couple of years France/Italy/Kazaks

They were gassed...nothing left in the tank.

At least the Kenora Thistles won Lord Stanley's mug in 1907: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenora_Thistles

It would be nice to see the British pull off a big upset here. Think and fight like Lord Nelson, Winston Churchill, and Henry V.

End of 3rd USA 3 (3xPP) :0 GB

great effort from team GB who had seven players out injured. Canada/USA/Sweden etc just bring in another 7 and nobody notices any difference, but GB have to virtually play 2 line hockey to cover for the missing players (theres nobody anywhere near good enough to bring in ). You can get through the first period on Adrenaline and the second with sheer bloody mindedness, but eventually, playing against 4 lines who are as good/better than you anyway, the legs just wont work and you end up taking holding/tripping calls which proved costly ........ Oh well onwards and upwards ..... Finland next :-&

Canada pulled off a 6-3 upset over Kazakhstan to remain undefeated. Why does Canada always have to play the tough teams?

And poor Denmark lost a heartbreaker to Germany, 1-0.

The membership will be pleased to learn that the Vikings from Norway trounced Austria 5-3. Now, let's see if the Vikings from Denmark and Sweden can keep pace with their brethren followers of Thor.

Heavily favoured Switzerland doubled up the underdog British North Americans 6-3. There will be no joy in the Great White North tonight.

Huh? Doubled up? Can we have a report in the Queens English please.

I'm particularly sensitive because Leeds new kickball manager is now a PT teacher from the US who insists on using phrases like "we need to outpoint Burnley" and being "locked into the league"
