The Peking (Beijing) Winter Olympics 2022

Post by Laan Yaa Mo » July 10, 2021, 11:36 pm

Should the Chinese Winter Olympics in 2022 be boycotted or not? The author of the article provides a number of compelling reasons why these winter games should be given the cold shoulder. Outside of diplomatic/economic kowtowing, it is difficult to argue that the cold weather Olympics should go ahead.

To be honest I doubt very much that having events like Ski jumping Slalom luge etc at outside venues is gonna offer too much of a health threat. As for indoor sports hockey/figure skating/curling etc they can either go ahead crowdless or at outdoor Ice rinks ......... I'm sure the chinese are capable of constructing any facilities that need to be built and lay a road rail network around it in 18 months (It only took them 48 hrs to build a fully functioning bloomin' hospital last year)

Sadly stats the Olympics are a bit irrelevant, it serves no purpose at all. Except light entertainment .

Yes, it's like the European and World Cup in that respect.

Yes, he certainly did. It took me a few minutes to remember that he is the bread and circus guy.
