I was hoping for an end to the ridiculous banter about the Evertons. I dread the thought of another season of GT mouthing off about nothing. Is there some hope that the Evertons will have points deducted over a scandal someone mentioned a few months ago? The Evertons have got to go!
Funny you should mention that LYM, as they were discussing the possibility on talksport of a three or six point deduction for failure to control their fans under the 1991 football act.

Now how ironic would that be if Leeds fans got to stay in the Prem because someone else's fans misbehaved :-" -

Giggly and Samster would be overjoyed although 747 would probably take a jaundiced view. However, it is never too late to do the right thing, and in this case, it would seem the right thing to do is to deduct at least 3 points from the Evertons.

Any truth in the rumour that Andy Gray is on his way from Dubai to interview 747?
Seems he's become pretty famous as spending the longest time ever by an Everton fan wedged behind a sofa.
Ricky Tomlinson has been approached to play 747 in the Hollywood blockbuster, but had to turn the part down as he couldn't put on enough weight in time

According to an article that I read today, Burnley and Leeds are joining forces in legal action against the EPL for their handling of the Everton financial fiasco. It wont come to anything but, its given hope to a few people.

I would have mixed feelings about any points deductions (which wont happen anyway). Football should be decided on the pitch but, on the other hand, Leeds are the most sanctioned against team in my lifetime giving us all chips on our shoulders - part of the reason Stats bleats on about our supporters reputations is the ongoing feeling of injustice we have.

Example - in 1971, Leeds were made to play our first 4 home games away from Elland Road after about 10 old men invaded the pitch during a game against WBA to sit down in protest in the centre circle after a particularly poor refereeing decision ultimately cost us the League. The following season we finished 2nd by 1 point having drawn 2 of our "home matches". 2 league titles lost due to the authorities.

Anyone recall a similar sanction? Using the same yardstick, Everton wouldnt play a game at home for the next few centuries after their pitch invasions/flares/racism.

That seems like a fair penalty for the Evertons, but a loss of points and relegation to a much lower division would be even more just.
