Melbourne G.P. Cancelled

Post by saint » March 13, 2020, 8:41 am

The dreaded virus has taken another victim . G P cancelled after a Mc Claren pit crew member was diagnosed to have the virus . Bharain ,Vietnam , also look in doubt .China obviously postponed weeks ago .
Many other sporting events attended by thousands have been cancelled or postponed worldwide .
Rightly so in my opinion . =D> =D> =D>

Just got a message from my son who is in College in Melbourne.
They are talking about bringing in a State lock down in Victoria Melbourne.
This could be why some drivers left before the official announcement that the Race was cancelled

On a GP website, there was talk of Bahrain hosting two no-spectator GP's about two weeks apart. They would need to quarantine the teams and paddock after the first one so, if they can't leave for 2 weeks, maybe just go ahead and have another race, then another 2 weeks quarantine and off they go to the next cancellation.

So maybe have a 3rd one.

And a 4th...

That doesnt appear to be happening . They are now saying the season may not start untill end of May or early June .
Absolute nightmare for any sporting organisations at the moment .
London Marathon to be held in October now , and do not be surprised if the Olympics get cancelled .
This pandemic is not going away any time soon . Stay safe .
