English Premier League 2019/20
Re: English Premier League 2019/20
As long as any teams excellence is solely dependent on their ownership having deep enough pockets to line-up of the most talented and expensive foreigners of-the-day that seem to work together, I am not so sure about anyone 'dominating' in the style of Man U. Players and their agents have far more clout than before and if a player feels that getting one EPL champion's gong is enough and they want to get a Spanish one, then it's pretty much a done deal and off they go. Each players value to the owners diminishes with each successive pay rise they get to stay with the team. Man City dominated... until this season. Liverpool, last seasons bridesmaid, looks like being invincible for a maybe couple of heavy spending seasons but that sort of spending may be unsustainable.Drunk Monkey wrote: ↑February 22, 2020, 11:52 pmthe Everton defence may LEAK more goals ..they need to POOL their ideas to prevent the FLOOD gates opening and missing on that 5th spot on the EPL .. whatever RIVERpool will still dominate the epl for the seasons to come

Of course if a team has a really, really good youth academy, then their chances of extending their dominance is better as they have a pool of in-house talent to augment the first team. These kids are brought in when injuries hit the first team or when more experienced first-teamers experiencing wheel-spin go off the boil, look for new challenges and ask (or are given) away. In that regard, Liverpool seems to have been very proactive in blooding some of their brightest teenagers this season. Does any other EPL team have a comparable set up right now? That's a good youth player system that already has recognized talent in their ranks?

It's very quiet on this thread this morning.
Well, I lost twenty quid on Liverpool winning last night. I did fancy a Man Utd win at Goodison Park this afternoon but I might hold on to my cash.

Earnest...I ve got £10 on Everton to win but both teams to score bet on at 5 /1
So that should be the kiss of death!
as a life long evertonian ( grandfather played for Everton and tranmere rovers) I should know better than to put money on the blues

I can see a Man Utd win on 365 at 9/5 and Everton at 31/20 this morning.
Man Utd beat Chelsea last week.
Lawro predicts an Everton win today.
I'm staying away from this one.

and yet another priceless var c*ck up
Re: English Premier League 2019/20
Yep, But I Think That one is The BIGGEST One yet!!!
Can Anyone on here give ANOTHER Example of when An OWN Goal was ruled out for Offside ?? I Doubt it....Corruption at it's Best !!
Re: English Premier League 2019/20
It would have been a goal to Calvert -Lewin not an own goal.
Sigurdsson was lay right in front of De Gea which is interfering with play... dunno about offside....spose it could be that also.
United were easily the better team in the first half so well done to Everton for making a game of it which maintains there rightful 11th place.
A draw a fair result in the end .
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
