I'm sure that Karen Brady will be "talking" to any players of the other relegation threatened teams who are "out of contract" on 30 Jun to make sure they do not agree to short term contract extensions to play after 1 July

I read that she was hoping to also have a "chat" with the lads at LFC to see what they think about this null and void season suggestion.

Just had a quick look at which players will not be available for a relegation fight (out of contract 30 Jun) for matches played from 01 Jul

Worst affected would be Bournemouth with SEVEN players not able to play
Watford will not have goalkeeper Ben Foster, his back up Heurelho Gomes, or even David Backman (3rd choice keeper) available as all are out of contract

Talks underway to expunge the season 2019 / 2020 across the football leagues ..yes EPL to Conference ..

Liverpool n Leeds fans ESPECIALLY must be very worried whilst clubs in the relegation zones (West Ham in particular) head down and hope for the best.

I,m a United fan and I think it would be terribly unfair for Liverpool not to be awarded the title... 25 points clear for Christ's sake !
If the season is abandoned the football authorities should undertake this plan where nobody gets relegated.
So as the EPL stands at the moment...
Liverpool Champions
Teams 1-4 Champions League... Man City ??
Teams 5-7 Europa League
Nobody relegated but WBA and Leeds promoted to bring the teams temporarily up to 22...4 teams to be relegated for the next two seasons with only 3 being promoted from the Championship.

They could do similar in the Football League with no teams relegated and no play offs.
Sadly I think a few teams in the Football League will go bump having no income, so some of the wealthier clubs in the Conference could be invited back dependant on current league position.

ALL football in England is suspended until at least April 30 - but this season SHOULD eventually be completed after the FA bend their own rules to extend the campaign INDEFINITELY
All domestic professional football in England has been suspended until April 30
The ongoing coronavirus crisis has decimated the global sporting calendar
But leagues are 'united in our commitment to resuming the 2019-20 season'
They have changed FA laws to ensure the season can be finished past June 1
No top flight game has been played since Leicester beat Aston Villa on March 9

Extend the season indefinitely??
You could be talking the end of the year or next year.
Do you think that is a feasible option ?
The virus is only just getting started in the UK.

It is totally ridiculous to even think about it going beyond 30 Jun.

Some players who are out of contract on 30 Jun have already signed pre contract agreements from July 1st

Are Bournemouth expected to play their relegation fixtures with an 18 man squad?
Are Watford expected to use a Right back in goal for their relegation fight?
Totally unworkable.

If the season cannot be finished by 30 Jun there is no other option but to expunge

Why should WBA & Leeds be promoted both have proved in the very recent past they can go on a run of one win in 6 or 7 games which means the clubs below have just as good a chance.

Willan has said he will extend his contract at Chelski if the season is extended, but I bet he and his agent wouldnt be as keen if Arsenal or someone offered him a two or three year deal (providing it started 1 Jul)

If games have not resumed by 30 May (fitness and warm up friendlies) just forget that 2019/20 existed and focus on 2020/21 season starting on time in August

It was gonna be our year as well with the toon winning the FA cup

authorities taking the first steps in UK.

National League have asked the fa to expuge the 2019/20 season (cannot get finished as many player contracts/loan deals expire)

Only a matter of time before all the other leagues are forced to follow

Carlo has said he hopes to get back to playing behind closed doors soon

Hardly surprising given the advantage Everton players will get, due to them playing in front of zero atmosphere every other week during normal seasons

Little by little they edge towards cancelling the season

First see the reaction to cancelling of non league fixtures ...........
Now cancel a minor national league (Belgium) and so far most pundits seem OK with that
Next will be Holland/France
Then Germany/Italy/Spain
Then Prem

Perhaps they will "bite the bullet" today and admit that if all games cannot be completed by July 16th (TV contract date) they will have to give TV money back anyway so no reason to even consider extension beyond that

747, we would never have had covid 19 if they had not insisted on trying to break the "witchdoctors curse"

Doesnt matter how many times Gob belar pisses on the goalposts the curse will remain

They could have just been a couple of points in front and "slipped up" in the last match or two, but no they had to prove the curses existence by forcing a major disaster on society as the only way to stop them

Glowing example is Jack Grealish who, only a few hours after making a "Please stay home, you know it makes sense" social media plea, drove his Range Rover into some parked cars in the early dawn hours... and ran away. The following day, he makes an even more cringeworthy "I know I did wrong and this will haunt me for the rest of my life, but..." load of social media flatulence.

30% pay cuts?

Sod them. No work. No pay. I am pretty sure they have some significant investments they can offload to get by... although Jack's Range Rover will need a bit of bodywork done first.

They should be made to work in a Covid hospital for 24 hours and, just maybe, they will realise how lucky they are.
Those that whinge should be named and shamed.
Can't see any footie being played again this year.
As well as 2019/20 you can probably write off 2020/21 as well.
Look forward to the start of the 2021/22 season.
Some interesting decisions to be made about awarding the title,European places, relegation /promotion etc.

Grealish... a complete ######... don't want him at United... OK for Everton.

It's only a matter of time before Raheem Sterling gets it in the neck for coronavirus

Marina Hyde's superb, rapier-sharp wit strikes once again, this time with a scathing excoriation of the EPL and those of that ilk.
