I was a Villa fan while at uni in Birmingham but only because Debbie, some drunk floozie Villa supporter at my local pub up the Hagley Road would let me cop a feel of her tits. Pub was probably chock full of Villa supporters come to think of it.
I used to go to a "pub" on Hagley Road when I was in Brum on business. Not many Villa supporters but, plenty of Steaua Bucharest and Flamengo. Think it was called Spearmint something.....
Way up Hagley Road? Mitchells & Butlers place? Around 1976?
Was referring to Spearmint Rhinos

Thanks for the reasoned debate 747.

Just watched last night's MOTD. Last 2 games were Hudds v Watford and Bournemouth v Fulham. Nothing at stake and, all plastic clubs. Substitute Leeds for any of those teams and, you would get more interest, substitute Norwich or Sheff U and, it would make no difference.

Got to agree on the subject of the so called BIGGER clubs playing in the EPL ..

Taking many factors in to account such as stadium , loyal fan base and finances here are DMs top 10 UK biggest clubs , not in any particular order except the bottom two as i was a bit unsure if to include them as they dont really have any credible opposition in the League they play in .

Man U
Liverpool
Man C
Chelsea
Arsenal
Spurs
Scunthorpe Utd
Aston Villa
Leeds
Celtic n Rangers SPL

There are some clubs that are borderline BIG

West Ham
Newcastle
Sheff Wed

There are clubs that are mid tablers never gonna threaten to win owt but never in the relegation scraps (thats why the Leicester EPL win was so incredible)

Everton

Then a few ok on the day clubs

ALL the EPL ones ive not mentioned

THEN...The rest are really just also ranz .. and do they really light up the league they play in NO

Huddersfeild
Brighton
Cardiff

Then there are clubs that really should just fold ..

Grimsby Town

DM
Claret n Blue all way thru .. Up the Iron
L2 Season 19/20 Codheads 0 Scunny 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2qrsItFUug
8 minutes is the point of lift off !!!!!!!

Biggest game of the day ........ has to be Solihull v Orient

3rd (84 pts) v 1st (87 pts) with Salford 2nd on 85 pts waiting to pounce ....... and only ONE automatic promotion

Solihull 0 - 0 Orient and Salford lost 0 - 1 home to Fylde so Orient 3pts up (and +5 GD) with one game to go \:D/

Elsewhere Scunny remember their boss telling them they are as good as Man Utd .... and prove it

Norwich are trying to emulate Brighton by doing their best to hand the Championship Trophy to a rival =;

Blunderland are trying to earn a few bob more by taking part in the playoffs [-X

With the season drawing to a close time for a little reflection. Sheffield United have surprised me as have Norwich, with the latter confirming their promotion this week. Congratulations to them. I have also been surprised by how crap Stoke have been, along with everyone else. As for LUFC, my pre-season thoughts were we would get into the playoffs, but by getting onto them rather than dropping into them. Leeds' playoff record is not good. 3 times in playoffs, 3 times in the final, 3 times lost. Maybe this time .....

MOT

PS.
Local football this evening sees the big local derby between Udon Thani FC and Nongbua Pitchaya FC at 20:00 at Udon's crap new stadium.
I will be there supporting the fighting chickens, the mighty men in pink. Except tonight they are playing in blue.
3 points for Nongbua I think.

Yep, you get what you deserve at the end of the season so, well done to The Blunts and The Pitbirds.

I was at Birmingham, Cardiff and Wembley for the last 3 play off finals we lost and, yesterday, sorted my ticket for this year's (assuming we beat Derby). 4th time lucky I hope. If not, proud, as always to support LUFC.

Peterhead blew the chance of clinching promotion when they conceded a goal in stoppage time against Stirling Albion and shared the points. In the meantime, Clyde sunk Queens Park 3-0 to close the gap on Peterhead to 2 points, each team with 1 game remaining. Both teams face mid-table, non-contenders on season-ending away games so it's much, much more exciting than the EPL race to the wire.

Wow,thats very sad.I hope he makes a full recovery.
Just 37 years old....you would think with all the fitness monitoring that clubs do that something would have come to light beforehand ??

Suarez vows to celebrate against Liverpool if he scores! - "In the build-up to the game it's nice to talk about how massively grateful I am to Liverpool for all they gave me. But, you know me, once I'm on the pitch there will be no friendships, no companions, no thought for all the lovely moments.”

Literally biting the hand that fed him........

So I Guess he's NOT A Littlepool Hero Now then ?? Let The Haters Begin......
