A blight on the soccer game is when the sometimes hysterical group of players come and approach the referees when the spoilt kids don't get their way.
How many times to do you see the ref backing away from the players. He should stand his ground and deliver the red card once touched, and the judiciary should back it up with lengthy suspensions. The players will soon get the message.
In saying that, IMO the captain should have some recourse to ask an explanation and clarification.

Some rough language warning.

The first one was nasty.Both of the guys in white should have been sent off !
The second one.....the guy who had his ear pulled should have been sent off for play acting.

Seriously its a joke these dives and rolls.of agony .

Watched games and replays / highlights from europe and epl. April 3rd. I woukd say over 50% of the cards were blatant cheating actions.

Where in Rugby and other contact sports do these severe episodes of passive contact stop a game .

Yes Barney once your allowed to yell or abuse a game referee the game has lost respect.

Once a whistle is blown for a free kick the rule should state that no other player/s shall enter within a 5 metre perimeter of the Referee. Those already inside the 5 metre coudon are not oermitted to challenge the decision. . Team Captain can.
