AFL 2016

Post by marjamlew » July 29, 2016, 8:46 pm

---- me! another broken foot and hamstring. and another loss. can't take a trick. they did a bloody good job with a team that was made up of seconds players and with only two on the bench. can't knock the endeavour and desire but lacking a little class. might be on that swannies wagon soon wazza or maybe the hawks  anyone but those ..... from geelong

Only thing between Carlton and a win today was a bit of polish. Plenty to look forward to Macca

I guess we all believed that the season was over for the Wobbles the Weagles rolled over or maybe Eddie paid them to loose to keep Bucks in a job?

Enjoyed Eddie loosing his cool on a free kick. Spat it big time. But over the line. Which gives the Swannies a breather over the Weagles.

Early start at Aussie Sports Bar tomorrow for the away game against Freo.

We need a 50 point win to get over GWS %

Good for the comp with Hawthorn having a loss and a great win by the Scray. Swannies could be on top by next weekend Wazza. Hawthorn still have to play North and then West Coast away. Interesting last three games coming up.

Went down to Williamstown today for the VFL game between Willi and Footscray. Was a beautiful day for a few beers and a good, close and hard fought game of footy. Dogs got up by a few points so good weekend all round.
Looks like your boys have put the cue in the rack for the year Macca and the Saints still have a sniff with North losing last night. Only one team had something to play for.

Will be in Melbourne 1st week of the finals Wazza - 9th, 10th and 11th of Sept. Will be in Bali after that BUT back just in time to see us win the flag. Your boys have a big one against the sainters this week as they are still alive given norfs run of outs. Would be nice to see the Hawks drop a couple more games on the run home too.

Was a tight game again Macca but always good to beat the wobbles. We just have to keep being in the contest through the game and you never know.
Blues were poor today. Big one for Wazza's Swanies tonight with North getting done today - plenty to play for for the Saints.
No AFL footy on that weekend of the AC-DC cover band at Cherry Wazza. We could go and watch Footscray in the VFL - be better on me old ears.

From what I read over here on Fox Sport if the Blues had of played four quarters of football they might have won at half time they were so far behind it did not matter forget about this year they are finished.

Macca - Funny you mention Deer Park. They are going for their fourth premiership in a row in two weeks time and their star recruit and big money gun this season is the famous blue - Brendon Fevola - who by all accounts could still get a game with the blues.
Dogs didn't have a real dip in a meaningless game on Sunday. We were more interested in the Collingwood - Hawthorn game. Only time in me life I wanted the wobbles to win and they get done by a point and instead of playing the Hawks at the G first week of the finals we're back on the long haul to Perth.
Still been a good year for the Scray considering first choice players like Liberatore, Mcrae, Wood, Adams, Redpath, Campbell, Mcleod, Wallis and Murphy can't even get on the park. But whoever we put out against the Eagles I reckon we'll have a red hot go on Thursday week.
Wazza's mob looking the goods at this point but wide open given the way the cards have fallen and with the bye giving all teams a rest before the first week of the finals.

I reckon we'll give the G the week off Wazza and as you can't use the SCG for your home finals you can play at the Lakeside Oval - should cater for all those who wanna have a look. Up there Cazaly, Laurie Nash, Bob Pratt and all that. :D
