53 million being quoted for John Stones to move from Goodison to Man City. There must be some happy members on here laughing up their sleeves. Absolutely ludicrous and obscene.

Compare that to the BBC transfers page, and I'm not sure if this an error but this fella's ego must be through the roof by now.

53 mill seems quite reasonable by Man City standards

Having him on the City bench means that he cannot have one of his few "above average" games against City

after a season or two they can sell him on to Blunderland for a few million (retirement home for overated and overpaid defenders :-" O'Shea/Brown/Kaboul/Kirchoff etc) where he can spend the rest of his career trying to play the ball out from the back .... and failing as he usually does

Yes 5 million for an overrated young Stones. Meanwhile two elder statesmen Stones have made announcements and are obviously still able to perform. Ronnie Wood - recent Dad. Mick Jagger - to become a father.

Meanwhile Everton could have signed a very promising young striker Jo Dodoo with a short amount of shrapnel change from a Stones move but he looks like he's heading for a big club with Rangers set to sign him for a fee of 250,000 quid compensation as he came through the Leicester youth system. Not a done deal yet but could be very soon. [-o<
