So long term contracts for McClaren and Mourinho then !

“Super computer” predicts final Premier League standings
By Joe Prince-Wright Oct 7, 2015, 1:18 PM EDT

With eight games gone and 30 to go in the Premier League, now is the time that those preseason predictions start to get revised and new knee-jerk picks are made.
Stats.com have run the numbers through their “super computer” =; — how big is this thing? To me, it’s the size of several rooms… — and the intriguing table will surprise many.
Manchester City will win the title, pipping Arsenal to the crown, while Manchester United will finish in third and Chelsea will recover to finish fourth. At the bottom, only Bournemouth will be relegated out of the newly promoted teams, while it is looking bleak for Sunderland and Aston Villa.

Predicted final Premier League table

1- Manchester City
2- Arsenal
3 – Manchester United
4- Chelsea
5- Liverpool
6- Tottenham Hotspur
7- Everton
8- Southampton
9- Crystal Palace
10- West Ham United
11- Swansea City
12- Stoke City
13- Leicester City
14 – West Bromwich Albion
15- Newcastle United
16- Norwich City
17- Watford
18- Bournemouth
19- Aston Villa
20.Sunderland

I would be happy to remain in the EPL Zid but if we do I doubt it will be with McClaren at the helm. I hope he's long gone before the season's conclusion. A decent scotch would be my wee dram or several on the rocks and not some of the stuff from the states if we survived. I also think Chelski will need a miracle to get to the top four but stranger things have happened.

Fifa suspends Blatter, Platini and valcke

Fifa has suspended president Sepp Blatter, Uefa president Michel Platini and Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke.

"The adjudicatory chamber of the ethics committee chaired by Hans‑Joachim Eckert has provisionally banned Fifa President Joseph S. "The duration of the bans may be extended for an additional period not exceeding 45 days.

"The former Fifa vice-president Chung Mong-joon has been banned for six years and fined 100,000 (Swiss Francs).

I dont know how much Metro UK pay Will Giles,but whatever it is its too much ! Theres more chance of mat80 taking over from Jose Mourinho at Chelsea ! =;

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich lining up Andre Villas-Boas as Jose Mourinho replacement – report
Will Giles for Metro.co.ukThursday 29 Oct 2015 9:31 pm

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering Andre Villas-Boas as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho, according to reports. :-s
Chelsea’s nightmarish start to the season has seen Mourinho’s future at Stamford Bridge thrown into doubt, with the likes of Guus Hiddink, Carlo Ancelotti and even Brendan Rodgers  all linked with the Portuguese’s job.
According to Fichajes, Abramovich has already begun assessing potential candidates to take over in the event of Mourinho’s departure, with the former Chelsea manager Villas-Boas on his shortlist.
Chelsea were understood to have paid Porto £13.2million in compensation to release Villas-Boas from his contract – the highest fee of its type ever paid in football – but sacked him less than nine months into his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
Villas-Boas will leave Zenit at the end of the season having turned down a contract renewal, and it’s claimed that he would keen to a return to the Premier League with Chelsea.

"He doesnt understand the club, the supporters, the players, the league"......sounds familiar ?.......never mind, maybe David Moyes is the man to ensure Chelsea get a mid-table finish ! 8)
David Moyes in distress.jpg
David Moyes: Is Real Sociedad boss on verge of being sacked?

The Scot's Real Sociedad team are marooned near the bottom of La Liga - they could be in the relegation zone by the end of the weekend - and a limp performance in Friday's 2-0 defeat against lowly Las Palmas has left his future in serious doubt.
Although Moyes, 52, could still survive through the international break, the club's board have been holding talks this weekend which may result in his imminent sacking.
This is how the story is unfolding.
At crisis point?
Moyes's potential departure from the Anoeta has been a slow burning story for the last few weeks, but in the last couple of days it has started to accelerate quickly.
Sociedad, known throughout Spain as 'La Real', have made a poor start to the season, winning just twice (both away from home) and have nine points from their opening 11 games.
But the real crisis point arrived with Friday's defeat at Las Palmas, which quickly led to reports that the San Sebastian club's president Jokin Aperribay is poised to act and end Moyes's time at the club, perhaps even before the first anniversary of his arrival in Spain on Tuesday.
After La Real's recent struggles, Friday's trip to Las Palmas was always billed as a significant encounter for Moyes's regime, but the general feeling was that his job was safe unless his team delivered a disastrous display.
Unfortunately for the former Everton and Manchester United boss, 'disastrous' is pretty much the right word to describe the way his team performed - or didn't - against a Las Palmas outfit which had previously only won one game all season.
Until Friday night, the majority of Real Sociedad fans were, while frustrated with their team's results and sceptical about Moyes's ability to turn things around, not yet ready to express outright hostility.
But that all changed immediately after the loss against Las Palmas.
'Moyes' was a trending topic on Twitter in Spain after the game, with very few of the accompanying comments offering sentiments of support. Indeed, many of them finished with the hashtag #MoyesDimision ('Moyes resign') or #MoyesVeteYa ('Moyes go now').
As noted by Mikel Encinas, the editor of newspaper Mundo Deportivo's coverage of the club, the main cause of anger was not the result itself but "the image presented by the team".
Most damning of all was a comment piece by Diario Vasco's Inaki Izquierdo, who concluded that Moyes "still bears the impression of someone who has only just arrived and doesn't understand the club, the players, the league, the city, the opponents, the referees, the languages, the stadia, the timetables…"

Fears that the team were destined for another season of struggle - despite a significant summer outlay in the transfer market (see below) - were further heightened by a mundane start to the new season which saw the team draw their first two games 0-0 and then lose 1-0 at Real Betis.
Starting the season without a single goal in 270 minutes was not exactly the way to get the fans onboard, and a 3-2 home defeat against Espanyol in the next outing put Moyes under more pressure.
A 4-0 win at Levante at the end of October bought Moyes some more time, and although that was followed by a 3-2 home defeat by Celta Vigo, it was widely thought he would be given until Christmas at least.
But then came the debacle at Las Palmas.
Whatever complaints Moyes may have about his time in Spain, insufficient backing from his board in the transfer market cannot be one of them.
Considering the size of the club and their relative lack of resources, Real Sociedad spent heavily in the summer to put the most expensive squad in the club's history at Moyes's disposal.
The biggest signing was midfielder Asier Illarramendi, who was brought back 'home' from Real Madrid after a disappointing couple of seasons at the Bernabeu for a club record fee of around 17 million euros.
If Moyes does leave sooner rather than later, however, the man supposedly in the frame to replace him is Juan Antonio Pizzi, who was controversially sacked by Valencia at the end of the 2013/14 season to make way for Nuno Espirito Santo.
But there would also be plenty of pressure on the club's president Aperribay, who put a great deal of his personal reputation on the line by making such a big effort to snap up Moyes a year ago when a deal had already been drawn up to appoint ex-West Brom boss Pepe Mel (now back at Real Betis).
Many fans have included Aperribay in their criticism of Moyes, arguing that if the decision to appoint the Scot has proven to be erroneous, the man who made that decision should also be held responsible

On the BBC Sport Scotland web Moyes is said to be favourite to take over at 'Pighead' should current Celtic manager Deilia face the sack. =D>

Another one sacked is Bowyer at Blackburn and apparently 'Brenda' Rodgers was seen in the London Underground wearing a suit as if in preparation for an interview. Those words on the gossip column not mine.

The five candidates to replace Sepp Blatter as Fifa president have been confirmed.

They are:

Prince Ali bin al-Hussein
Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa
Jerome Champagne
Gianni Infantino
Tokyo Sexwale
One candidate to miss out in the Fifa presidential elections is Musa Bility.

The president of the Liberian Football Association has been ruled out after failing integrity checks.
Having had the dubious pleasure of working there I can wholeheartedly confirm that the words Liberia & integrity rarely appear in the same sentence together... :D
He can appeal that decision to Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Of the suspended head of UEFA it was reported...
"As previously announced by Fifa, Michel Platini's candidacy will only be assessed if his suspension is lifted ahead of the 26 February election date."

Chelsea submit new 60,000-seat stadium plans
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34974544

Personally I still think that the Battersea Power Station plan should have never been rejected & offered a better plan for both the club & the city.

At the other end of the spectrum..
Forest Green Rovers: National League club almost £5.4m in debt
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34976354
But the plan for the £100M new sports centre will still proceed.
As the report says, the current situation is really of little concern as long as Dale Vince remains interested in the club. If he ever feels that it is no longer worth it then it is extremely difficult to see how the club could survive at all..

Bolton Wanderers: Championship strugglers set for winding-up order
www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/35034077
Financially troubled Bolton expect to receive further bad news in the next few days in the form of a winding-up petition from Revenue and Customs.

Bolton owe around £600,000 in unpaid taxes.

The Championship's bottom club did not pay their players in November and need £15m to get to the end of the season.

Takeover talks have been held with four parties but unless a deal is done, they face the threat of administration and a 12-point deduction.
As they look a stone cold cert to go down this season I guess that there is a pretty big difference in the valuations that the parties have.
3 years ago, a Premiership side. Hard for the fans to take, for certain...

If it happens it would be a great opportunity for Giggs to prove his management credentials.....cant see him eventually taking over from Van Gaal at United.

Ryan Giggs: Swansea City eager to speak with Manchester United assistant boss about replacing Garry Monk

EXCLUSIVE: United No 2 fits the bill perfectly for chairman Jenkins who is keen on recruiting young and rising coach
Mark Ogden Chief Football Correspondent Independent 42 minutes ago|

Swansea City are keen to assess Ryan Giggs’s managerial intentions before making a final decision on the identity of Garry Monk’s successor at the Liberty Stadium, The Independent can reveal.
Giggs, currently acting as Louis van Gaal’s assistant manager at Manchester United, has made no secret of his desire to pursue a career in management. The 42-year-old is widely regarded as one of the leading candidates to succeed Van Gaal at Old Trafford when the Dutchman’s contract expires at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
But Swansea are determined to investigate every possible option, and the Welsh club are understood to be ready to speak to Giggs about replacing Monk in the event that the former Wales international is prepared to consider leaving United to begin his managerial career.
Having seen Brendan Rodgers reject the opportunity to return to South Wales to take charge of the club he left in 2012 in order to take charge of Liverpool, Swansea are considering a wide range of candidates to succeed Monk.
The club’s chairman, Huw Jenkins, is open-minded about potential appointments, but the prospect of luring Giggs to Swansea would be regarded as a major coup and would also fit the Jenkins blueprint of hiring emerging coaches who favour attacking football.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
