Rugby Union
Re: Rugby Union
Just bought my ticket for the Autumn International at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff. Wales vs Western Samoa - £15.
Great deal but will be a costly Friday night - Work til 2 then straight into Cardiff town for the beers before the game. Had to explain to the Thai wife why she wasn't going. It's drinking with the boys.

Chin up, the Rugby isn't all that bad, it's just that some naughty boys and girls got caught out. I still prefer it to football, far more entertaining.BobHelm wrote:Sadly it is part of the entertainment industry now Fawn, not a Sport...Same rubbish involved as with all the others...
More Tri Nations at the weekend readers, Wallabies to win (Wazza, Aardy, you've just got to trust me on this one).

I,ve put in an order for a chilly night to freeze the South Africans up, and make the hits hurt more too

Yes mate, but sadly they are the best in the World at the moment. Maybe we could sneak some knuckle dusters into there shoulder pads Giteau is a bit of a worry at the moment though. That dreadful kicking game against the Kiwi's gave them the winning try. We have to be patient while Deans bloods a few of the young lads and then we should see a difference. Let's hope the Gods are on your side tomorrow and we can win. By the way, my request for a cold night is looking good at the momentFawn wrote:Remember the Boks don't travel well, Aussies.

Only as good as their last game. You probably think I'm in La La Land but I hope the Wallabies win. Ain't gonna be much of a Tri Nations if the Boks get their way all the time.Aardvark wrote:Yes mate, but sadly they are the best in the World at the moment.

Australia 25-32 South Africa
Like I said, only as good as their last game.
I wonder if Aardy asked for his money back?

Dominos anyone
Re: Rugby Union
Blimey, there can't be anywhere worse than being in an home stadium full of Australians and watching their national side lose.

Re: Rugby Union
Actually it was full of South Africans and Kiwi's, but at least it was bloody cold
Re: Rugby Union
I'll bet those Kiwis were cheering on the Spring Boks as well. A mate of mine at work shares a flat with members of the fush 'n' chups brigade, he told me how they were celebrating when Ricky relinquished the Ashes.

Bit like the Poms v the frogs
Re: Rugby Union
Condensed highlights from yesterday's game. Impressive 3rd and 4th tries from the Boks IMHO. Liked Turner's try as well. Giteau worked hard from what little I could see.

If there's one thing this footage shows it's the confidence that the Boks have in themselves, they are setting the standard for world Rugby at the moment !
Re: Rugby Union
Yes, did you see that switch before the second(?) SA try? Absolute clockwork, went like a dream. How cold did it get that night?

Re: Rugby Union
Went down to about 4 degrees Celsius, I know I know, Tee shirt and shorts for you Brits Have a read of what Robbie Deans had to say http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/ ... whitewash/
Re: Rugby Union
Thanks Aardy, that was an interesting read. Not looking good for Deanes but he can't change his team too radically can he? It's a bit like the Martin Johnson thing a few months ago where he elected to retain and develop his core group of players (with the exception of Cipriani). Building a team takes time - mind you this is Deanes' second Tri Nations as Wallabies coach.
