"On any given Sunday, any team can beat any other team".
After watching TNF, Colts at Broncos, they should change that idiom to "On any given Sunday, any team can lose to any other team". They were no winners in that game, only losers.
That had to be one of the worse games of all time.

Watched it. It was dire. I am a Seahawks fan and i have to say Russel Wilson was nonsense on the big plays. Loved him at Seattle but that team ain't going anywhere

I've read that a local Denver TV station apologized for broadcasting the game

The Snow Bowl is cancelled.
Buffalo expecting 4 feet of snow.
"Buffalo and its southern suburbs may receive as much as 3 to 6 feet of snow by Sunday," AccuWeather.
Game moved to Detroit, which has a closed dome stadium.
4 feet in 48 hours already. NY State Thruway closed between downtown and Erie.
With New York Thruway closed and upwards of four feet of snow expected in the Buffalo area, there are now questions about whether the Bills will even be able to get the hell out of Dodge.
It's still snowing. 6 feet in Orchard Park.

Creamed chipped beef on toast. Made popular by US Army in WWII. Still served in American diners as a breakfast item. The slang name is ---- on a shingle, hence SOS.

Just an FYI, haven't seen original SOS in diners here in the U. S. in many years.

Bourbon Street Soi Ekkamai also serves SOS as a breakfast item.
TJ's used to have it, also grits.

Dunno about eating but I'm supporting Kansas if not for anything else but one of the most creative quarter backs I have seen since Aaron Rodgers in his hay days.

Thanks tam, but still none the wiser in knowing what the difference is between "toast" and "shingle" which is what I was trying to find out.

im not a fan of American footy but respect the few hundred that are .. not my cuppa tea.

I did once try the infamous SOS brekkie in Pattaya .. again not for me it was like dog vomit on toast , give me an English fry up , Eggs Benedict or smoked salmon on a toasted whole wheat baguette any day.

Im guessing shingle is American slang for toast statto .. who knows theyve butchered our glorious language so much over the years.
