Post by wacka » September 27, 2008, 5:13 pm

Just thinking that because there is a Aussie Embassy in Lao's can you do all the same things as you can in Bangkok IE the wifes visa the sons citizenship and passport.Would be heaps easier than going to bkk if you can.Any one know ?

Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees. Why did I not think about that. I will ask Nong Khai Immigration on my next 90 day report if they will accept sworn Stat Dec. sourced from the Australian Embassy in Laos rather tham BKK.

Great Idea if it works Wacka. =D>

Now all we need is Wazza to post. :D

Yes Wokka if it is possible to use the laos embassy it would save alot of time, travel and hotel bills. You could be over to the Embassy in Laos and back in a few hours.

E-mailed the Australian Embassy and got a reply in half an hour.No problem with all your needs the Embassy does it all in Laos.No more trips to Bkk what a relief.

The Australian embassy here caters to all Aussies' needs. Be wary of thinking the US Embassy does as well. I have heard many poor reports from Americans who live here about the lack of helpfulness of the US Embassy here. I suspect you would be wise to check with them first.
