Manometer tubing is mounted at the surface.
Line from the well bottom to one side of the manometer.
Changes in level create changes in pressure which in turn create changes in the manometer.
Setup would require first knowing what range of measurement is required to make manometer tube correct size.
Manometer tube is filled to a required level and the pressure feed line connected to one side before pressure feed line is lowered down the well.
As the pressure feed line contacts the water, manometer level will begin to change.
Mark this level and proceed to lower the pressure feed line to required depth.
Mark this reading level and sit back...done.

Thanks for explaining...sounds like a good setup!
