Wasn't RLT the same guy who was applauding "someone with balls -- finally" in the Strait of Hormuz?

You know, they said similar things about Winston Churchill. His colleagues, called him a drunk and stubborn imperialist, amongst other things. His detractors referred to him as a bigot/racist, because he allegedly once said “I hate Indians, they are a beastly people............ ” and he supposedly referred to Palestinians as “barbaric hordes who ate little but camel dung”. Was he wrong :-k :-k

All trivial, even if true, when you consider his achievement of having saved Britain from speaking German, in the 21st Century.

Would Winston have survived in the era of 21st Century Politics, with all the backstabbing politically correct wimps around him, probably not. So you need to be grateful that he came along at the right time.

You may well say something similar about Boris 20 years down the track, when Brexit is over and you may be grateful that too came along.

Agree with your analysis of Winston Churchill. One of the greatest leaders of the 20th century -- if not THE greatest. He was "Finally someone with balls" willing to take on Nazism.

I fully expect the pound to rebound when the dust settles. After the UK is free of EU rules and the UK is enjoying trade with the rest of the world without EU restrictions, a proud country will emerge from the initial pains.

You have to recognize that the EU will do everything possible to punish the UK for jumping off their sinking ship. The great liberal socialist experiment is doomed.

Hi glalt

I would agree with that. I think the UK's future is much brighter away from the EU

Maybe a bit or pain and suffering at the outset, but after when free of the shackles, there will be no looking back for the UK.

Agree. Agree. Agree.

Britons know how to survive and thrive. When the data is in and the evidence is clear, there very well might be some more who EXIT.

One of the UK's first moves is to get rid of traitorous politicians who are in bed with the EU. I would bet that Boris knows who they are.

Maybe I've missed something! Don't get me wrong IMO we should have left years ago but just because we have a different Prime Minister that doesn't change the sums in parliament, the Tory's are still short of a majority even if they could get the remoners to come back into the fold.
He's got his little y-fronts and he's got his little vest, Chaz Jankel, 1998. Mash it up Harry.

Boris needs to do what's best for the UK without regard to anything else. I hope he succeeds.

I like Boris , but i also feel hes done himself no favours in wanting or taking the job .
The damage Cameron , May ,and the remoaners have done to the country is going to take some time to repair . Time he does not have.
He paints a lovely picture for the future , leaving the E U by the end of October , yet 90 days out and hes still licking his pencil !
The problem he has is much the same as anyone in No 10.
The residents change , the governments change , the civil servants do not .

BBC interview with US ambassador Woody Johnson

The ambassador believes that there will be a sensational relationship between Trump and Boris. The ambassador added that the UK has moved to the "front of the line" for free and fair trade talks.

US Ambassador:
I think the President is going to try and move the ball forward. The UK is our most important ally both in security and also in prosperity, you are very important and he knows that.

He’s made some comments regarding a free trade agreement and putting the UK at the front of the line and he’s made these comments many, many times.

In fact, when he was over here a month ago, he talked about the free trade agreement and how it would lift both countries and I think that is what he’s focusing on.
Trump has been a supporter of Brexit and has repeatedly stated that when the UK leaves the EU, he would strike a big trade deal with the UK.

STEADY WINNING for both countries.

It seems John Oliver also thinks Trump and Johnson would be great pals.
