South Korean heiress arrested for "Nut Rage"
I bet this lady regrets this incident now.She was the Vice President of Korean Air but earlier this month caused a flight to return to the Gate after taking exception to nuts being served in a bag and not a plate !
Apparently, she forced the chief pursor to kneel before her and sacked him on the spot !
He was later re-instated.
Reading about her,she did a lot of good work for Korean Airlines previously but destroyed it in a moment of alcohol fuelled madness which many farangs over here can relate to.
If you see her wandering down Soi Sampan, dont offer her a bag of Dry Roasted Nuts for Christs sake !
South Korean heiress arrested for 'nut rage'
Korean Air heiress Cho Hyun-Ah has reportedly been arrested for delaying a flight with a tantrum over snacks in a "nut rage" incident that caused an uproar across South Korea.
Cho has been accused of forcing the chief purser off a December 5 New York-Seoul flight and of compelling the taxiing plane to return to the gate so he could disembark.
She had taken exception to being served macadamia nuts she had not asked for - and in a bag, not a bowl.
Cable news network YTN showed Cho as she was taken by prosecutors to prison late on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old kept her head low and said "I'm sorry" as she left the building, broadcast footage showed.
The prosecutors' office had applied for an arrest warrant last week and this was finally granted by a court in Seoul late on Tuesday, the Yonhap news agency said.
Cho was charged with violation of the aviation safety law, coercion and interference in the execution of duty.
An unidentified KAL executive was also arrested on Tuesday on charges of destroying evidence from the incident.
Cho - one of three children of Korean Air boss Cho Yang-Ho, the patriarch of business conglomerate Hanjin Group - has publicly apologised and resigned from all her posts in the organisation.
The transport ministry has vowed to sanction the airline with a flight ban, most likely on the New York-Seoul route, that could last for up to a month, or with fines of up to $US2 million ($A2.16 million).

I'm glad you're back from Chiang Mai paying your respects to the Thaksin family Zids. We missed you.
Let's be frank lads, if this Korean heiress is seen out yahooing in Soi Samphan, she's well out of our league unless some of us can scrub up really really well and have left the flip-flops, singlet (stained or not) and shorts at home. After all her dad's probably worth more than Tony Blair and Rupert Murdoch combined and also knows how to keep his wife and mia nois under control.
Cho Hyun-Ah would probably only be interested in active or retired MI 6 agents or very well polished agents from other secret services. Uncle Bob, for one, will be grinning at this theory.
Unfortunately I don't think she is likely to be seen in Soi Samphan conversing with Bob or our other upmarket posters. We're more likely to see ronan01 taking Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott up and down Soi Samphan to help Abbott understand more about women to overcome Abbott's woman problem.

It looks like I have scared the lads off Zids although Uncle Bob was probably dressed up to the nines cruising the bars last night looking for the down-on-her-luck billionaire's daughter.
Perhaps I could get this thread going by saying something controversial about Americans.

last news report months ago, the charge of driving under the influence was never processed and expired due to statute of limitations. He's still pending what is essentially a manslaughter charge. 3 million baht "blood money" was paid to the family of the Police Sgt Major that was killed.

'Nut rage' Korean Air heiress whose tantrum halted take-off when she was served snack in a bag at JFK faces three years in jail for attempted 'cover up' of incident
Cho Hyun-ah ordered flight's purser Park Chang-jin off plane last December after she was served nuts in bag instead of on a dish
Heiress, 40, compelled employees to lie to investigators, prosecutors said
They also said she discredited and blamed the chief flight attendant
She defended her actions in court citing her devotion to work and that crew did not follow procedures

Korean Air heiress Cho Hyun-ah could face three years in prison for her notorious 'nut rage' incident after which she was accused of treating staff as 'feudal slaves'.
The 40-year-old, who had an in-flight tantrum over how she was served macadamia nuts in December before take off at New York City's JFK airport, defended her actions citing her devotion to work during the final day of testimony today.
The daughter of Korean Air's chairman has been in custody since December 30 and was charged with forcing a flight to change its normal route and which carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.
She also faces three other charges including the use of violence against flight crew, hindering a government probe and forcing the flight's purser off the plane. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
However, the South Korean prosecutors' recommendation of three years in prison comes after they said Cho led the airline's systematic efforts to cover up the incident, compelled employees to lie to government investigators and discredited and blamed the chief flight attendant. Cho, the daughter of Korean Air's chairman, defended her actions as the result of devotion to work. Pictured above, a bus carrying Cho arrived for the final day of testimony at the Seoul Western District Court in Seoul today
She backed up her actions and said that cabin crew in first class had made a mistake by not following proper procedures, Seoul Western District Court heard.
During the incident which occurred on December 5, Park Chang-jin, the chief flight attendant, was ordered off the plane by angry Cho, following a heated confrontation with cabin crew because she was served nuts in a bag instead of on a dish.
Furious that he had not followed protocol, she screamed at Park and told him to bring out the company’s in-flight service manual so he could read the proper nut-handling guidelines.
When he failed to find it, Cho lost her cool and ordered him off the flight.
Without giving the 250 passengers on board a warning, the Incheon-bound plane was forced to return to the gate at John F Kennedy Airport in New York. The Airbus A380 eventually arrived in South Korea 11 minutes late.
In court, Park said he and other staff were treated like 'feudal slaves' by the heiress.

I think she'd be a very feisty woman in the bedroom. She'd give just the kind of workout a few of our less fit members might need.

I think her younger sister Cho Hyun-Min 31,edges it in the looks stakes GT !
She is also a Korean Air Executive, along with her brother also shown in the picture.
But she, too, was in trouble after posting messages swearing "revenge" for her sister.
I think best for the elderly Udon expats to leave these two ladies well alone.
They could well end up rupturing themselves and if they didnt measure up their dry roasted nuts would be fed to the dogs on Soi Sampan !

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-31433736Korean Air executive guilty in 'nut rage' case
Heather Cho, also known as Hyun-ah, was jailed for one year, avoiding a possible maximum sentence of 10-years.
To a greater or lesser extent this is probably true of most of South East Asia. The trial has opened a national debate about the Korean business system, which is dominated by family firms known as chaebols.
Some of the families running these businesses have been accused of high-handedness and acting with impunity.
There are a number of recent & notable cases in Thailand & Cambodia were the offspring of the rich have got away with things that make this case seem petty by comparison.
So, it is interesting that South Korea, at least, appears to have had enough.
It is wishful thinking to believe this will be extended to other countries any time soon though..
