Indeed - at the moment I am scoring it 5 - 2 to the UM believers
Or expressed another way, probably 2000+ to the accepted scientific consensus, and 100+ to the deniers (leaving out the world government/world tax loonies)

The hits just keep on coming!
Climategate goes SERIAL: now the Russians confirm that UK climate scientists manipulated data to exaggerate global warming

Climategate just got much, much bigger. And all thanks to the Russians who, with perfect timing, dropped this bombshell just as the world’s leaders are gathering in Copenhagen to discuss ways of carbon-taxing us all back to the dark ages.

I hardly think that one economics think tank constitutes "the Russians", however accurate or relevant the press release by the Institute for Economic Analysis may be.

According this article it was China who blew the Copenhagen Climate Conference out of the water and then used allies from poorer countries to make it look like it was Obama's fault.

I think the GW "believers" have a bit of egg on their face, and should be a little more circumspect labeling those with legimate questions or doubts with the derogatory and insulting tag of "sceptic" and equating them with "flat earthers".
I think it is becoming quite clear the "believers" think it is OK to lie and manipulate data because they think the end justifies the means. I was taught the end does not justify the means.
I also think the British response is a bit precious to blame China for derailing "their" process - but then again they need to support "their" Stern Report, which I think forecasts the end of the world if we dont adopt "their" strategy.
Hopefully the GW scare campaign will die down and some proper science and debate with ensue.
The GW "industry" has a lot to answer for - but I think they will try to keep their snouts in the trough as long as they can - nothing like spending other peoples money!!!
A pox on all fear-mongers.

Just as the fear-mongering GW fanatics discounted and dismissed anyone who challenged their now data-less predictions, they are dismissing ClimateGate as nothing.
Their underlying motivation -- receiving money -- has been exposed. In the US, the global warming issue is at the very bottom of all of the polls ranking importance to voters. Don't look for the US to lead the way with anything in that regard.

Some more book cooking, lying and deceit. I have come to expect nothing less in every article that I read.

Questions continue, and the "experts" just keep moving further away from answers.
Follow the money. :-"
The questions Dr Pachauri still has to answerAcross the Atlantic, as the northern hemisphere was plunged into its third freezing winter in succession, violent snowstorms left more than two thirds of the US and almost the whole of Canada under December snow for the first time in decades. In the wake of that acrimonious shambles in Copenhagen, ever more questions are now being asked not only over the validity of the science behind the belief that man-made CO2 is causing runaway global warming but about the methods being used to meet that supposed threat.
Follow the money. :-"

What I can't get my head around is the fact that our climate records don't go back all that far in relation to the age of the Earth. Evidence might exist to correlate man made CO2 with rises in temperature but some subject matter experts seem to be ignoring the fact that this could also be down to a natural cycle as well. Could this natural cycle have more of a bearing on temperature rises than CO2?

Your on the Money Fawn, Ice Cores taken from Antarctica and else where show Rapid Warming and Cooling has been going on for Hundreds of Thousands of Years, but there is still a lot of work to do yet. Now a cover up of the cover up?
‘Climategate’ professor Michael Mann protected ‘to maximum extent’ by Penn State policy
More conspirators watching over the conspirators. Just sit tight, Mann. All of this will be taken care of and you'll be back doing your dirt soon.It ultimately falls to one man to decide if we ever see headlines that shout: “Penn State Climate Prof Fudged Facts to Fetch Funding”, or perhaps “Nittany Lyin’: Penn State’s Mann on the Street.”
Henry “Hank” Foley, the new vice president for research and dean of the graduate school, will hold professor Michael Mann’s academic future in his hands if an internal inquiry, now under way, sparks an investigation that finds Mann broke university policy.
But results of Penn State’s internal Climategate probe may not come until Mann’s part of the globe really warms up, in May or June. In addition, you may never learn what really happened between Mann and other leading lights in the global warming movement. That’s because Penn State, like other universities, treats such inquiries as confidential personnel matters, protected by policy “to the maximum extent possible.”
More surprising, the initial probe involves a committee of just three, all of whom are Penn State employees with a clear interest in preserving the reputation of a university ranked ninth in the nation in receiving government research and development grants. It may raise some eyebrows to know that no outsiders will monitor the proceedings.

It seems Europe is experiencing its coldest winter in decades - does this balance out the global warming we have been warned about?

Re: ClimateGate busts things wide open
Observations of the Sun show that as for the increase in temperature, carbon dioxide is "not guilty" and as for what lies ahead in the upcoming decades, it is not catastrophic warming, but a global, and very prolonged, temperature drop. Over the past decade, the average global temperature on the Earth has not increased, it has in fact dropped and already there are signs of the future deep temperature drop.
It follows that warming had a natural origin, the contribution of CO2 to it was insignificant. Increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide does not serve as an explanation for it, and in the foreseeable future CO2 will not be able to cause catastrophic warming. The so-called greenhouse effect will not avert the onset of the next deep temperature drop, the 19th in the last 7500 years, which without fail follows after natural warming. We should fear a deep temperature drop not global warming.

Seems like NASA is in on the conspiracy as well
http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/6709 ... ever-nasa/The past decade was the warmest ever on Earth, according to a new analysis of global surface temperatures released by NASA.
The US space agency also found that 2009 was the second-warmest year on record since modern temperature measurements began in 1880.
Last year was only a small fraction of a degree cooler than 2005, the warmest yet, putting 2009 in a virtual tie with the other hottest years, which have all occurred since 1998.
According to James Hansen, who heads NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, global temperatures change due to variations in ocean heating and cooling.....................................

I'm not producing carbon dioxide, I'm feeding plants.
Carbon credits are the flora equivalent of paying to feed sheep and goats at a petting zoo.

Glacier scientist: I knew data hadn't been verified
Dr Lal’s admission will only add to the mounting furore over the melting glaciers assertion, which the IPCC was last week forced to withdraw because it has no scientific foundation.

Woes for the UN continue. Couldn't be happier that this corrupt organization continues to struggle with their socialist worldwide agenda.
