The farang flying club

Post by GT93 » June 6, 2022, 3:25 am

Operations have sadly resumed. A drunk young Aussie in Phuket falls to his death from the 11th floor:

He was found dead on the ground, face up, on a footpath below his room at the back of the hotel (name withheld by police) in tambon Patong of Kathu district by a security guard about 10pm, said Pol Lt Col Ekkachai, an inspector of Phuket Tourist Police.

Police examined his room on the 11th floor. There were no signs of a struggle. He stayed alone in the room. There was an open half-bottle of Thai whisky on the table, almost full.

Police said it was likely he was drinking and fell to his death.
Only 22 years old.

easy enough a full bottle is 70 cl and a half bottle is 35 cl so there was just a little missing from a 35cl bottle ..

He's a young lad on holiday. He'd perhaps been drinking or slurping beer earlier in the day. I like this word "slurping".

rct, I think Stickman calls it the Flying Club. It's broad enough to catch suicides, mishaps and homicides. Yes, all shxtty business.

The so-called design of Hotel Balcony Railings have always made me smile, anyone drunk or not if slip[ped near or onto the railing may go over completely accidentally.
Safety is NOT a word I would use in relation to many balcony Railings. I made a not yeas ago, NEVER have a room with a balcony, Open the window if you want a uninterrupted view.

Smile? Despair might be a more common response.
