the article explains that the U.S. position is based on fears that the glyphosate ban (and only that substance) will impact agricultural exports to Thailand from the U.S. where glyphosate is not banned.. Then the article conflates it all stating the U.S. is opposed to the ban on all three substances which is not the case. Oh, if you click on the "about" link from the article you'll find it is a Russian owned/based/funded news source..

The government has been in power since 2014.. Nearly five and a half years.. This is the first move to ban pesticides. We will have to see what pushback comes from the Thai agricultural sector where these herbicides are used extensively . Paraquat and Chlorpyrifos have been banned in other countries.

Note the linked Wikis that discuss in detail potential effects from the pesticides.

Another excellent measurement by the current pm. thumbs up, and stay strong against the abusive pressure from the usa peddling its deadly pesticides worldwide.

Would trust a Russian site way before trusting wiki, but that's me.

The article amply quotes from a Bangkok Post arricle, so its irrelevant to try to discredit the story by insinuating its a tainted commie anti usa propaganda.

Anyway, i am shocked, the usa trying to pressure and bully another country into buying american products. (thats sarcasm.)
