Curries and Stews
Chicken Tikka Masala is the only British Entry. No room for Irish Stew or Scotch broth.

Wife fixes me a Japanese Curry, good taste without the spicey hotness. Next best for me is Yellow Curry

Re: Curries and Stews
Such a list without Rendang curry has no credibility.

I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani

Bandung, your post brings back unpleasant memories.
My mother's stews were not to die for, they hastened death.
Dumplings that sat in your stomach as congealed masses, never to be digested, vegetables boiled past their ability to retain any flavour and stringy beef that I now believe was imported from Thailand.
I taught myself to cook at a very early age as I was in fear of losing my young life.
