Changing your name by deed poll

Post by tamada » November 24, 2022, 12:57 pm

Over the past 8 months or so, I have seen several threads on the TV forum with members seeking advice on name changing and how Thai immigration would handle an extension renewal after a name and passport change. This isn't something new and I always thought it was pretty desperate to do that just to stay longer in Thailand without a visa or after maxing out on all the visa types, extensions, etc..

Then I read this story and with Thailand's known links to foreign teachers and those that prey on children, I wondered if this is just the tip of an iceberg.
