I fully understand your frustration in no longer being able to dominate the forum with your extreme beliefs and the admitted polluting of threads with off-topic posts that mock the topic. Despite those efforts, I never use the report button because I believe in free speech.

Are you familiar with Mark Twain? If not how about the Bible, Proverbs specifically? Both made it a point to point out that it was better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt--I fear you have done that latter.GT93 wrote: ↑December 13, 2021, 7:37 amDeclan MacPherson wrote: ↑December 12, 2021, 8:37 pmThere is no longer any basic rights in Australia.Teacher Dan wrote: ↑December 12, 2021, 7:59 pmImagine if Australia HAD a Constitution like the US, they'd have rights and those rights would be protected....

I lived in Melbourne through the worst of the Covid lick downs,
I’ve been in quarantine around seven times and I’ve also stayed in Perth for a few months where life is completely normal
My opinions are through living it not on YouTube vids.
There were rules about wearing a mask, the amount of people you could gather with and certain venues could not open.
If you look at the the Covid infection & death rate in Aus v US per 100k you’ll see that it worked.

Re: Abortion
Perhaps but Oz is far less densely populated than much of the US where most of our high numbers come from--in the US those with the highest cases and deaths were those that locked down the most. Florida where I am from was far lower despite having just as densely populated cities and more old people than most northern states--snowbirds. Then you have the fact that our government paid hospitals more for Wu Flu cases than other issues and at a time when the profitable procedures were not allowed due to lockdowns, hospitals needed to make money so it's obvious many flus, colds, and pneumonia cases were labeled the Wu Flu. Also Oz is completely different from the US and far more isolated and easier to control the access--you don't have millions of infected people rolling across the border because you are surrounded by water.

Re: Abortion
No, I'm being serious like internment camps or concentration camps that were used in Nazi Germany and the US in WW 2. The Nazi versions were obviously worse as they actually killed people, so more like the US camps for German and Japanese Americans 'for their own safety' much like the current ones in Oz or the ones used in Canada earlier this year if not still now.

Re: Abortion
How many camps, where are they and what are their names
The only internment of citizens of Oz happened when they returned from either other States or from overseas
And the majority of those interned were in hotels for a 2 week period at their own expense, which lots seem not to pay
Oh just like they did here
but in Vic they did lock residents in apartment towers which may have been illegally done ie against the law of the land
So a bit strange for country with no rights, dont you think

Re: Abortion
You do know that none of those states have the same population, right? So your raw numbers don't really mean much--did you notice he said per 100k? Yeah that is similar to per capita so then you are comparing apples to apples but still doesn't account for density. For example NY is far less densely populated than Florida but FL doesn't have a city comparable to NYC in density, Texas and Cali might be similar but Texas really has no comparison to LA and SF though.jackspratt wrote: ↑December 13, 2021, 1:43 pmNot really.Teacher Dan wrote: ↑December 13, 2021, 1:24 pm

USA Covid Deaths.PNG
https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2020 ... -outbreak/
This chart doesn't account for the density of certain cities but it does allow sorting and list cases and deaths per 1 milion and you can see that FL had more cases per 1 million but fewer deaths per 1 million than NY. However, it would seem that GA had more cases and deaths than PA while TX had more cases and deaths than CA. Interesting....NY and FL support my claim as I knew since I lived in FL, but the others do not and Texas is bigger than CA and GA is bigger than PA. Hmmm.....the GA and PA difference can be attributed to more testing in GA than PA per 1 million (also in the chart) because there would be more duplicate tests which is similar for CA and TX where CA has far more tests per million so a lot of dupes.

Re: Abortion
As I indicated with the other person there is some other data necessary so your numbers don't tell the story. Oz and NZ are isolated (and in the case of NZ, tiny) nations that can easily control access to their countries--the US cannot as we have millions literally walking in through our open southern border that our government is doing nothing to control and since most of those aren't tested and likely have some version of the Wu Flu, that affects our numbers. As does population density, which NZ doesn't even compare to the US at all--that's like comparing Alaska to Europe so not apples to apples at all. In fact most of Oz is sparsely populated so you could only really compare Oz to like the central western US--Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, the Dakotas, Iowa, Kansas etc. or simply to one state like CA or TX alone, not the entirety of the US. It's like lumping ALL of Europe together as one nation and comparing it to Oz--not even comparable.noosard wrote: ↑December 13, 2021, 3:23 pmSTATE CASES DEATHS Cases/1m Deaths/1m Population

Re: Abortion
By the way NONE of this has anything to do with abortion--the point of the Oz video about their lack of rights was a rebuttal to Paul's side topic about the US Constitution and pointing out WHY it's so important.

Re: Abortion
The UN Human Rights Gneral Council order number 36 stipulaters quite clearly how it feels about Humans and Children especially in relation to pregnancy BUT it also says the following :
The document goes on to explain governments “must provide safe, legal and effective access to abortion” in the case that the pregnancy would potentially cause the woman “pain or suffering.” In addition, no laws or barriers may be placed that may push women towards “unsafe” abortions, including those caused by the “exercise of conscientious objection by individual medical providers.”
So not only do the Anti abortion brigade in the US and especially TEXAS is in breach of the UN Human Rights, but as we know Americans trample on any laws they do not like calling it UNCONSTUTIONAL
So ANY woman made to endure a full term pregnancy due to the LAWS currently allowed in the US could SUE under the Human Rights legislation which of course the US signed up to but then understanding it takes intelligence something Moronic Republicans have difficulty in doing .
