So schools were passing the buck to slothful and indolent parents way back then as well? I guess we must have been special to work out all this societal civility and respect for ourselves.

i think you mean in the last century no?. the 1950's society was different. im sure people from the 1880's would not understand children's behavior from the 1950's either. children now would just laugh about 1950's schooling.

I imagine this one is already slathered in multiple layers of lawyers, including anyone and anything related to the school and local law enforcement like their associations and unions.
