The Taco Place???

Post by ISSAN_NISSAN » May 13, 2008, 6:35 pm

I see they are listed on the site but can't find them on the new published map.

I drove to where I thought they were (7 months ago) but for the life of me I couldn't find this cafe.

Does anyone know if they are still in business? Did they change their location again?

Maybe I just need glasses.

Anyone know where one can get Mexican food in Udon?

Thanks in advance.

Last time I drove by they were closed and have been for quite a while. About 2 months ago it appeared that they were renovating the. Don't know if they will ever reopen though.

Taco Place is closed; for good, I believe. Try the California Cafe. They have a few Mexican dishes. It's across the street from Molly Malone's.

Thank you both for the Info.

Sad to see them close because the Mexican food was good enough to satisfy my craving. :(

I will check out California Cafe.....I always forget that place.

Good thing my head is attached to my shoulders. ;)

The California Cafe became my favorite choice becaue I could get a good bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. My TG and I especially liked the Mexican cheese quesidias (sp?).

Both California Cafe and Thai Orchid are very good. Different cusines certainly, but both have good food and pretty good parking. Actually, very good parking areas at Thai Orchid.

Oops, double post. Couldn't tell, as the dialog box seemed to freeze up after clicking submit. Maybe still having one of problems mentioned earlier by Lee.

I would recommend Thai Orchid too.

Shame about Taco Place, I thought they'd be open again by now. :(

I called Taco Place on 5 May (Cinco de Mayo) even though it was a Monday. I figured they might be open for that day and it would be a great excuse for dragging the wife out for Mexican food. Nope! They didn't even know what I was talking about. Understandable I reckon, but a pretty good indication that they were not promoting the restaurant.

Taco place closed Feb Miss Took the owner is expecting a Bubs about Aug, has a Aussie BF love Rob, both are happy working at teaching till the new kids comes along.

Took still makes a great mexican dish, been out to their home for many a Tacos, which is not to far away from the original shop, maybe she will open up a shop later, still seems to have interest here for mexican

Meet Rob last October doing the rounds and invited him for some mexican at the Taco place, good night out he eyed up Took and some months later moved in with her

will keep the grapevine updated when the bub is due

Now where do I get subs at, hero sandwiches to some. They had great subs and I made sure they added the jalapeño peppers too. Only thing is, I use to have red hot pepper added to when in the US. Maybe I should start making sub sandwiches here.

The new proposed Central Mall is a must for Subs, as well as many other gr8 eateries.
