some simple breakfast sandwiches would be a
real treat. greasy bacon-egg-cheese on an english
muffin ( probably called something else in blighty)

that breakfast " food" that Mcbarf & others put out
is criminal negligence. and some decent sides.
thomas' muffins est. 1880 oh he was an english

English muffins just come buttered , sometimes with jam or marmalade. the only place I've ever seen bacon ,egg and cheese in a muffin in the uk was at McDonalds. i don't think there's any other name but bacon and egg McMuffin

this guy " thomas" who was english. came to the
isle of yank in late 19th century. did he " invent" this particular muffin ? maybe it's a yank muffin? :-k

anyway used for breakfast sandwiches, mini pizzas, pretty much everything in the great kingdom of
yank. i don't doubt brits find it all very bemusing .

Always mkes me smile when people start criticising any food from any Restaurant or Fast food Chain. firstly we all know or should that the ingredien ts are prpared in batches, cooked by people with minimal training and served up at speed ( unless you are in THailand ) and yet you complain.
Customers have a choice , do not frequent these places , its lack of customers will soon hasten the closure. However as most enjoy complaining about almost anything these days unless it is constructive it is pointless and when it comes to fast food places probably pointless
One final factor, Likes and dislikes are personal, one mans meat is another's poison springs to mind . Taste and likeability is relative

What's you opinion on those complaining about other people complaining?
Rather a pointless exercise , I was just making an opinion of complaining about eateries in general . Do not like the food, do not eat there simple

actually it is constructive and there are points. 1st
i should have specified that branch at udtown does their own thing. does not follow co. protocols
2nd 40 years ago, their food may have been fairly
healthy, it just isn't anymore. i was more pointing
out how much better a fresh sandwich should be.
3rd kp do you always have to be a little ginger wuss. your constant complaints are wearisome =;

On subject of western type food , ate at 89 Upper (or whatever its called now) few weeks ago.

The western dishes we ordered were rubbish. All thai / Asian dishes great.

2 orders of fish and chips un-edible and pork chop just tasteless crap.

i can't remember having a memorable fish&chips
here. but then if a " large " in u.k. is near 10£ in
fairness, you'd pay 400฿+ here. LGE almost a kg

From "The Best of Udon" thread.
" It’s the best tasting Indian food I’ve ever had. At a restaurant named Bombay not to the Le Celini community. It was nothing short of fabulous. The place I’d been getting my Indian food from had food that was too salty for my taste, so I seldom got food from there. Bombay was nothing short of fabulous. They just opened, and I hear they’ll have deliveries starting next month."
