They advertise a medium pizza for 199 and a second medium for 99 Baht. The photo clearly says "medium" and shows you a pepperoni pizza with 23 slices of pepperoni for 199, and what appears to be a 12-14 inch pizza. The small pepperoni pizza for 99 baht is an individual pizza with 8 slices of pepperoni.

I ordered the 2 mediums for 199 + 99 and got two 8 1/2 inch pizzas in 9 inch boxes with 6 slices of pepperoni on each, so they're showing you a larger pizza, telling you it's a medium and then serving you a small individual pizza and fooling everyone....and nobody says a word. It's time somebody called out these companies for false advertising. I won't be going back.

You can see for yourself here: https://www.pizzahut.co.th/menu/pizza
email them chop chop and see if you get a refund in pizzas

Are you kidding? I'd get the same answer that I've gotten from the other retailers that I have filed legitimate claims with....no answer!

Nope, our visit was for an eat-in pizza, and most every table in the place had customers eating the same size pizza/boxes. When I walked in I was wondering why everyone was eating only the individual pizzas. Next time better take a tape measure with you. These were definitely in 9 inch boxes. I've seen your photos, and those are 9" boxes.

It's so simple just to be honest with the customer. All they have to do is show three pizzas marked small, medium and large and give the diameter of each so we know what to expect. It's ludicrous to describe a pizza in terms of how many pieces one gets. Heck, I can take a 2 inch diameter pizza and cut it into 6, 8 or 10 pieces, so how can one measure value for money when that's the only explanation we get. It's about time more people "get on about" all the BS that we have to put up with on a daily basis with these establishments that intentionally try to mislead the public.

Semp, I totally agree, that's what I was trying to say in my post, we ordered the so called medium pizza and got what I would call a small pizza, If it was a medium then a small one would be a joke, it's not Pizza Hut as we know it.

If you are that concerned why don't you do a more methodical job of it. Make a video of it all and put it on youtube or wherever. On the PH website they have a nutrition table that gives the weight of one piece of whatever type of pizza. I didn't see where they tell you how many pieces per pizza, but assuming that is how they are gauging the size then combine the number of pieces and multiply by the weight given in the table and you will have the theoretical weight of the pizza.

Buy a little digital scale for less than $2US off ebay/aliexpress wherever. Like this one...
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mini-Di ... ede9cfc09d

Use that to weigh the pizza. Ask for an empty box of the same size of your pizza... weigh the box... subtract that from the weight of your pizza in the box... and compare that net weight to what you calculate from the nutrition table on their website.

If you did this, inside the shop, with video evidence of it all, and the pizza you received weighed a lot less than the pizza was suppose to weigh... OH BOY!!!!!! You have them by the balls. If, on the other hand, the actual weight approximates the theoretical weight... you've just embarrassed yourself to no end.

Quite cute rjj04! I'm glad somebody has a sense of humor. Unfortunately, I lost mine when I moved to Thailand. But, getting back to the size of the pizzas, when you go to the website and click on the size of the pizza that you want to order to be delivered, it will tell you how many pieces are in the pizza and how many people it can feed. Pretty idiotic if you ask me. It says the individual pizza is 6 pieces and can feed 2 to 3 people. If me and my wife were 6 feet tall and weighed 300 pounds each, we'd be pretty pi**ed off if we placed our order using those parameters and the delivery guy showed up with an 8.5 inch diameter pizza.

I know its off topic, BUT I wrote to the CEO of AIS 2 weeks ok, complaining about the lack of english support to preorder the Samsung Galaxy S8+ - their promo is linked with Samsung web site etc .

The staff in Udon agreed an Engish AIS serenade customer couldnt preorder.

2 days after I had sent my EMS letter, AIS staff in BKK rang me and apologised, they accepted their compliance team was at fault. Also their offer didnt state that it was limited to any numbers and they agreed , even though others were told it was over subscribed.

They offered me the S8+ as per the promotion for AIS serenade customers, saving 3000 baht, plus the Samsung promo package of WIFI Charger and a free Google Chromecast WIFI / USB unit. ( over 6000 retail as well )

So my referral to the Top got a positive reply and I am 9000 Baht better off ( retail priced wise )

Copy and paste your post here on their Facebook page, instant viewing by many.

You have to admit... it's hard evidence!!! When I get into Udon again I'll bring along my digital scale and order a pizza and see what happens. Experimenting safe in the confines of my hotel room naturally.

I'm hoping my sense of humour keeps me from going ballistic here one day - currently having construction done on our home, so, fingers crossed. Lest I wind up face down in a rice field, hands tied behind my back, and a bullet through the back of my noggin. The local constabulary coming to the obvious conclusion I off-ed myself... as per usual.

McDs pictures of burgers, are tainted, but pass the test

They cut the burger and associated fillings into sections and then line the bun with all the product overflowing at the front.

BK in Thailand do the same, they make the drink container smaller in the pict to Upsize the Burger .

If you compared the size of the drinks container and their burger in the Store Advertising, compared to what you get, its nothing like it.

Thanks wazza for the comments! This deceptive advertising has been a pet peeve of mine since I moved to Thailand seven years ago. All the chains used deceptive advertising practices, and most all other restaurants use internet stock photos on their menus instead of actual photos of their own food. As a result, the food that we are served here seldom looks like what is advertised. In the States they have "truth in advertising" regulations, but I doubt very seriously if any of that exists here in Thailand, and if it does, there is no enforcement. In my estimation this is all part of the short-sighted and narrow-minded thinking of the Thais. They are only concerned with getting the customer in the door and seem to give no thought to the consequences of having a customer leave feeling mislead and cheated. That patron goes home and tells 10 people and those 10 people tell another 10 people, and before you know it many of these places wind up going out of business. If they could only learn to accept constructive criticism and not feel offended when someone has a legitimate complaint, but instead they get offended at the smallest hint of critique which in many cases can lead to their inevitable downfall. They feel a "loss of face" when they're criticized, so what happens to their "face" when they go broke and have to close their shops because they failed? Is that not a bigger "loss of face" which should be something they would want to avoid at all cost? Sorry to get off topic...but I'm just wondering out loud. None of it makes any sense to me!

S&P sausage with bacon wrap, shows 8 pieces on the outer coloured layer of the packaging

7 units inside.

The owner of S&P said years ago, she didnt care and was arrogant with her reply on social media.

Pizza Hut will survive, this small unit in Ud Town, is to test the water for a larger restaurent style venue, in Central, UD ( over the road in the old Nevada IT ) or a Tesco Lotus / Big C venue, IMO

And just when you finally get the right size sorted, you realised the packaging, menu colours, logos and uniforms have all worked on you.

I can see a KFC, Pizza Hut and Company, McDs , BK, Swensens, Staryuks etc all up there....

I would say 70/30 split for deliveries and eat ins.

199 + 99 = 298 for 2 pizzas for PH

Pizza Company had their special at 2 for 159, same size, but limited choices etc

I was there today and counted while I ate. It's eat-ins, take-outs, deliveries on an even split. People were ordering, then shopping and coming back to pick up.

I ate mine out of a box, and yes it wasn't as classy as having a plate. But next time any of you go to Pizza Company tell me how clean that knife and fork are when you get them. I wasn't impressed with my pizza hut pizza today and I'm usually quite forgiving.

So far Papa Z is winning and the only thing I would change is the tomato sauce is too sweet. But I see I am getting about 4X more pizza for my money so big deal, I can handle some sweeter tasting sauce. I LOVED Pizza Company's Chicago style pizza with extra cheese and mourned it's passing as a special and hope it returns.

If Papa Z ever comes out with a Chicago style Stuffed Cheese (which is not same as Deep Dish!!!!!!!!) I will pay whatever he charges. This is the one made on same crust as thick, a LOT of Cheese and tomato sauce is on top not middle. There is way more in terms of topping ingredients than a thick crust pizza. Now THAT is a pizza.

For some clear info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago-style_pizza

Also I'd be partial to a new set of ingredients and prep style none are using such as Cheese with extra cheese + FETA cheese on top, mixed with *patches* of PESTO sauce cooked well done (otherwise it's a mess!) and a bit of olive oil cooked into the bottom of the crust.

If we are going to start talking pizza let's get past the thin crust *beginner* style and get into some real heavy duty pizza pie talk. Thick crust is over-rated, it's just more bread, big deal. Stuffed Cheese is where it's at.

Z if you are in town let me know when, I can call in some orders for custom styles and pay whatever you see fit. :D

Jimjay.
We at Brooklyn's Original Pizza, thank you for your gracious comments, and are very happy that you enjoy our pizzas.
Although, Chicago deep dish pizza is not on our menu yet, primarily due to low to no demand at this time, we will accept any special order you might have, and you don't have to wait till I'm back in town. My pizza chef and manager Pon is capable of turning out a great Chicago deep dish pie.

Well I can see that in future I should take a tape measure with me when eating out as it's obvious that to some guys on here that size really does count.Never mind the size taste the flavour is still my recommendation and by that standard I still preferred them to others being touted on this topic.Looking at the number being sold there, both eat in and out, it seems many others do too.
8 and a half inch aye? Wow that's precise, was it in or out, of the box? :-"
