Google is a friend that can usually help

"The “your connection is not private” error message is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a message from your browser that informs you that the connection is not secure. This means that if you aren’t using an antivirus or encryption, your device will be a gold mine for hackers.

If the browser is Chrome, this is a fairly comprehensive list of things to do and how to do it.

There's plenty of 'solutions' offered up if you Google "your connection is not private banner". However, if any of them require you to download and/or install an app or run a 'troubleshooter', avoid them. They will probably install malware on your computer to 'fix' a problem that you don't really have and end up causing more problems.

It means that the server is not making an https connection to your browser and that Google has decided to make this obvious.

There are various reasons for this ranging from a site that doesn’t do https through expired certificates etc.

The claim that “ This means that if you aren’t using an antivirus or encryption, your device will be a gold mine for hackers.” is pure fear mongering, and not surprisingly from a company that sells security software. There is a slight risk but that is extremely dependent on the kind of site you visit.
