Worldwide Website Problems

Post by jackspratt » June 8, 2021, 5:42 pm

For those who may be having issues getting into your favourite sites:
A range of websites including popular news outlets, ecommerce giants and governmental websites are offline due to an unexplained internet outage.

The Guardian said on Twitter its website and app were being affected by a wider internet outage.

Websites operated by news outlets including The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Financial Times, the New York Times and Bloomberg News appeared to be down across the globe.

The websites for Amazon and the government of the United Kingdom have also been affected.

In my case, and as mentioned above, my beloved Guardian is having issues. :-"

It seems the Map has not yet made the big leagues however, and it is business as usual.

No longer unexplained. An outage at Fastly. https://edition.cnn.com/2021/06/08/tech ... index.html. Things seem to be back to normal now.
